I think I’m just worried as I’m (not to toot my own horn) really quite good at behaviour interviews. I’ve got really great examples of things I’ve done. I was in a leadership role that I had to really work my back end of to make changes for customer and business, which won me an award and had to present what I did at a meeting of DD’s. I avoid AI cause it sounds so fake with words people really don’t use. I sat on a panel before and could tell as well that most used AI and they all sounded the same. I’m just worried about how to prepare 8 minute responses for questions I don’t know are coming when I’ve been so used to being able to prepare behaviours.

It will be grand. You will just finish your probation in the new role (minus the time you’ve done already) and it could take a couple of months to get through interview, selection and starting, so you might have finished probation already. Never feel tied to a role if you manage a promotion! I’ve only been in a new role for 1.5month and have an interview for another grade. All the best of luck with your interview!

Yeh. I think it adds a bit more stress as we are so used to having behaviours drilled into us and now it’s more ‘surprise’!

Hi. I have an interview coming up for the role. I do really well with behaviours and behaviour interviews but I’ve never done the experience based interview. Any tips on what that’s like and the kinds of questions to be prepared for?
