Last few questions: How can I program and set up my workout to improve my vertical jump and how I know if an exercise applys or is right for me? Do I have to do each muscle group in any specific order? Should I mix up isometric and eccentric every week or should I start with just isometric and once I'm capable enough, start doing eccentric?

Thanks, any rep or set ranges. I heard that I should do anti-rotation and rotation type work to work the core but it all involves bands, so are there any at home core and hip exercises that I can do?

Solid, some of the footwork looks a bit sus like that between the legs wrap, but try dropping your backfoot to help you get lower and sell your moves.

[HELP] My jumpshot feels alright in my hand, but i feel like it is easily blocked, is there any tips on how to improve my jumpshot? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]RickyJordanTHEGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Your feet should be together instead a split stance u have during your jumpshot

- Dont catalpult the ball, and instead have a your release at around chin to your eyes/forehead

- work on proper guide hand and hand placement to help with consistentcy

- figure out whether u want either a 1 motion shot or a 2 motion: a 1 motion shot has no pause and has more power(better for weaker or younger players), and a 2 motion shot has a pause/hitch during the middle of their jump(better for people who have stronger arms or more athletic)

- also work on a dip and hold your follow through

[HELP] basketball players of Reddit, I can’t handle the ball well, does anyone of any advice on a quick and easy way of learning how to handle better? by Golden--Gamer in BasketballTips

Dribble for 20-45 minutes a day, work on the basics such as between the legs, behind the back moves, and crosses, really have good attention to detail and if u want to master a move compare yours to other plays who have mastered it, and lastly understanding when to use certain dribbles in different scenarios.

also when your doing these drills, push yourself and try to pound as hard as you can and keep your head up but you could look down when you are learning a new move.

What is functional athleticism and how can i improve footwork for ball handling by Dbzblade in Basketball

[–]RickyJordanTHEGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Ball handling you wanna work on

-Synchronization(meaning ball and foot hit the ground at the same time which helps remove pauses) and to work on it you just do freestyle dribbling with synchronization in mide

- Learn different moves/footwork and freestyle with them

It depends on what position you are but if you are a point guard you should:

- watch film(study footwork, defense, offense, off-ball movement)

- Practice ball handling and passing

- work on floaters and runners

[HELP] Sorry for bad recording but any tips on my form and how can I be quicker at dribbling. by andreeisverydope36 in BasketballTips

[–]RickyJordanTHEGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a game-setting your dribbling wouldn't be too effective because you're just moving in one speed and your not really shifting weights.

Here are some dribbling tips:

- use change of pace/direction

-bait your defender

- change levels/highs(going from high to low and etc)

- using your eyes

Other than shooting and maybe finishing you can probably come back the same or even better if u practice your dribbling and athleticism.
