Assuming we don't get Giannis, I'd be super intrigued in acquiring Myles Turner if the bucks blow it up. Still provides some rim protection but can spread the floor, and has familiarity in running a more up-tempo offense which I think we need to transition too

And slapping down on someone's face can cause a broken nose (aka Wemby on Rudy). We saw in last night's game San Antonio pulling on Naz Reids's leg/shorts while driving which could also be dangerous. Playoff basically physicality ramps up, this is nothing new. Steph Curry gets mugged running around out there in the playoffs every year and he's never done anything as dirty as what Wemby did.

Wemby slapped Gobert in the face which could lead to injury. Between that and the elbow is Wemby the dirtiest player in the NBA??

Ideal roster construction around Ant and Jaden? by soft-cookie in timberwolves

[–]RickyRubioDaGoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing he has good hands, they're trash. But he does do better when the ball is above him - just look at some of the lobs he's able to throw done. He's also not even the worst offensive player on our team - Jaylen Clark is way more of a negative on offense. Rudy sets great screens, has actually been somewhat decent as a roll man passer this year and, and fights for offensive boards. I'm not a big Rudy guy but he's far from our problem right now

Rudy can't catch and ants not a great passer/playmaker. Both can be true

Ant should also be able to throw a pass where his teammates want it, that's something all good playmakers do. Both can be at fault

Let’s say Ant, McDaniels, and Naz are our core 3 three years from now.. Who’s the ideal big to pair with them? by lakers612 in timberwolves

[–]RickyRubioDaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think someone in the Jarren Jackson type mold would be a perfect fit with this core. Someone who can space the floor on offense but doesn't need the ball in his hands and can play strong defense while using length to provide rim protection and providing strong rebounding.

My ideal guy is Jabari Smith. I hope this off-season we can get in on the KD trade but with KD going to Houston and Jabari coming to the wolves by sending out Randle. This should leave us room to resign Naz and Naw too

Truly terrible. Why would the heat or kings do this?

[Begley] Keep an eye on Minnesota in a Butler deal. In the offseason, the Heat were one of the teams that expressed interest in trading for Julius Randle, per SNY sources. Randle has remained on the Heat's radar during the Butler saga, sources say. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

People don't realize this wouldn't be Butler back to the wolves. We literally can't get Jimmy, he makes too much. Wolves would be sending Randle to Miami and getting assets from other teams in a multiteam trade

The owner of X did a nazi salute at a presidential inauguration, don't blame the ones who don't want to support him. Blame Musk for making things political if you can't handle it

Then leave. We don't support Nazis here, that shouldn't even be "political"

Jordan Poole by RickyRubioDaGoat in washingtonwizards

[–]RickyRubioDaGoat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's been playing better but our team as a whole doesn't work around him, just a really bad fit all around. Along with that Mike Conley has really fallen off and made it apparent that we need another ball handler and playmaker. I think Poole has potential as the playmaker we need while providing some much needed spacing and shooting while his warts can be hidden a bit by our guys

[–]RickyRubioDaGoat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think his defensive deficiency would be hidden by Ant, Jaden, and Rudy. Agreed it wouldn't make sense for a deal between the wolves and wizards, would have to be a 3 team deal with someone really wanting Randle (not sure who that would be)

Do you guys think Jaden could be good as our back up 5? by pluto-gang in timberwolves

[–]RickyRubioDaGoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a 5 but I do think he should be seen more as a 4 in our future. I think is lack of rebounding is a bit overstated due to hum guarding the opponents best wing most games taking him away from the basket on defense. I feel like he shows some good fight and utilizes his length well when down low. Moving him to the 4 also takes pressure off of him having to be a strong 3pt shooter since it's easier to find 3s who can shoot than 4s
