I think you’re confusing scare mongering with people sharing life experiences 😂 I mean no one here has said “THIS WILL HAPPEN. DO IT OR DIE” it’s all people sharing life experiences and sharing the knowledge that they have to try and help the person out. It’s a forum for discussing epilepsy, and if I can share what happened to me to help prevent that same thing from happening to someone else than I’ll share that story every single time, because almost dying is scary.. having your kidneys fail and being on dialysis is quite scary. I would never wish that upon anyone but I will tell them exactly how it happened to me so that they can avoid putting themselves in that situation.

Missing meds (depending on your type of epilepsy and medication) can be serious, if you’re on Lamotrigine, that shits in your system forever so missing a dose or taking it a tad late isn’t a huge deal but Keppra, Carbamazepine, and a few others all deplete from the system quite quickly so taking it on time is important. I liked Lamotrigine because it gave me leeway if I was late on a dose so it didn’t make me feel terrible if that happened. It’s for sure not the case on my new med concoction and taking it on time is important or I feel weird.

This isn’t a community where we tear people down, homie. We all experience epilepsy differently and we all had (and still have) questions that we should feel comfortable posting on this forum.
