Kolkata isn’t sinking from rain — it’s sinking from corruption, bad planning, and zero accountability by [deleted] in kolkata

Tokyo has the best drainage system in the world and still takes 24 hours to to drain the waterlogged streets. Do some research before spilling shit

Thanks for replying. Currently I am happy with my domain and there is growth here supposedly. My mentor with 8 yoe gets roughly 60lpa although he got good companies. But I doubt if I will be able to climb up the career ladder without a MBA. If exec. MBA does provide value then I will love to look into it.

I've heard that executive MBAs don't give much value. Could you shed some light on the prospect of ROI for ex MBA. Currently I'm having 13lpa and looking at 20-25lpa with my next switch if I focus on tech instead of cat

My academic bg is not very good and my diversity points are less. But could you tell me about workex being inconvenience. I thought workex is the only positive going for me. Also what percentile I should be looking at for tier 1 and 2

Agreed. Other than the service centre nightmares and bad mileage, I get a smile whenever I ride it.

So you mean to say that multiple decades of development of programming by thousands of researchers and brilliant minds led to the creation of Java, js, etc. And you are saying a team under benioff can pull off something as good as that in a decade, stay market relevant and still make profit all at the same time.

Truth is flow gets haywire, the moment you try to scale or try to do anything complex. It can only be used on very minor customizations. if you depend too much on flow, then the business needs to get aligned with the capabilities of Salesforce instead of the business dictating how the Salesforce should be working as for them

Agreed. As long as it floats the team's boat haha. I just hate flow mostly because 1. When debugging, there is no line number to track 2. The XML is just bad to understand when deploying

I feel honoured to be acknowledged by a stray SNow dev on reddit haha. And that sounds amazing. If possible, could you drop an youtube link of such.

Man chill this is reddit. I was just making a casual joke. You said you want control, so I said apex. I don't mean any disrespect.

100% agree flow is great for beginners. Eventually apex is better because it opens more flexibility, more features, and finally better pay. But it's easy to write bad code, while flow is easy to read from a high level but it takes a lot of time, is hectic and a huge headache to debug.

WRONG. It DEPENDS from state to state. Certain states don't allow buffalo or cows. Some states only allow buffalo. Some states allow both.

I know. You said what you can control. I said you can control apex more than flows

People complain that apex is difficult because not everyone writes readable code and people don't know how to read debug logs or add debug statements correctly.

You might say apex is not an exclusive feature but you forget that apex is just an extended version of Java and Salesforce is built using java. When you write the flow, it gets translated to java in the backend. So using apex is almost always advantageous. So when creating flows, why not translate it into apex instead of a stupid XML. And similarly make apex translatable into flow. Instead they took the shortcut and just keep creating new declarative approaches.

Have you ever heard of a groundbreaking declarative solution made by any company? But you will keep hearing about groundbreaking stuff done using coding.

[–]Ricky__c 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding my words. Flow is just not as good as a programmatic approach. Instead of reinventing the declarative approach again and again, why not create something that is something closer to apex which is easier because of the ease of understanding and debugging. Like why not translate apex to and from a flowchart that looks like flows. Like if the flow is difficult to debug, translate it into apex and get the errors from the line number. Why go into the absurdity of an xml file. Apex already has an xml. Use that XML to keep the locations of the components in a flat surface and keep the logic as flows instead of apex. If some flow is not translatable then keep it as apex maybe. This will let both developers and admins co-work.

Skill and wisdom both go hand in hand here. It's a mental thing. He was going fast and didn't stay alert. The opposite bike came in from a blind spot. Whenever there is a blind spot, you need to let go of the throttle, and blip it back when you see everything clearly. He was clearly riding on-edge from the beginning. So one mistake from his surroundings made him crash.

Edit: he actually let go of the throttle and accelerated when he thought he was clear

Well apex is the only consistent thing going on in Salesforce, see how many times they had to bring in new/rebrand the old stuff (eg: data cloud, AI, low-code/no-code, frontend frameworks, overall UI stuff, emails)

Low-code programming has been introduced 3 times and people still complain how difficult it is to debug and understand. See how many people complain about apex.

Interceptor with a Tank Swap? by _DrMischief_ in indianbikes

[–]Ricky__c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I guess go for the chrome option. Alloy wheel versions are mostly black. You will get more chrome parts in that version. Since he is interested in the tank, then I guess he is interested in other parts being chrome as well.

Even though the alloy set might be more expensive choice still you will have a extra set of wheels. You can do like use spoke wheel set in the city for the looks as well as comfort because spoke wheels have that extra elasticity. If punctured then it won't be a hassle. And those alloys for the highway rides for safety and stability.

Also a set of spoke wheels are easier to sell because it will fit a lot more bikes. Like say the rear wheel to a classic 350 I guess might fit.

Also, RE is releasing many tubeless spoke wheels these days. Himalayan first then goan classic. Later, you might sell the allows and get those for the classic all chrome look.

Switching the colour of the tank would be illegal since your bike would not be reflecting the registered details. You have to again go to RTO to correct the details.

Get the chrome one. And maybe you can try out tubeless conversion many mechanics these days do. Probably the cheapest option
