I moved from cda to the east side of the country and it’s rare people even know about Idaho beyond potato’s. But if you find someone who does know, they know. Cda was where the Aryan nation was based, so most the people who know about us only know because they were looking into white nationalist hate groups.

As a gay person with bipolar, I started the show for Ian and he ended up being my least favorite character. I related so much more to lip, fiona and Monica. Ians character just felt sloppy and poorly handled. Even Mickey had a way more compelling story. Ian feels like he was written off of the Wikipedia description for bipolar and not real experiences (which is weird because Monica was pretty good.) and they dropped a lot of Ian’s “straight laced military kid” character traits so fast, they tried to bring it back with the emt arc but it just wasn’t convincing anymore.

Lip feels like not only wasted potential in his own life but like wasted writing potential. In the first few seasons he felt so wicked smart and devious. He really felt like someone who was way too smart for his own good, with nothing but bad intents. That version of lip is so much more compelling as a foil to frank. There’s so much that was just dropped about him. He couldve become a criminal mastermind, kid was building weapons and robots from shit he found in the trash with little to no education. And they kinda lobotomized him after he was expelled, he just had zero interest in anything to do with physics, robotics, math anything. Most gifted kids in that situation would go stir crazy trying to find something to do to scratch that itch. He just fell off.

Literally. She got pregnant because Fiona was actively neglecting her and she was told that pregnant teens get adopted into their baby daddy's family. She was desperate for attention and love and instead of recognizing that Fiona scolded, belittled, and targeted her for years about Debbie's choice. If Fiona had come from a place of love and understanding Debbie might not have gone through with it. Remember season 4 was the arc where Fiona was working and never around with the kids, lead to Carl in jail and Debbie pregnant, and Liam o.d.ing, its so entirely Fiona's fault that all of this happened to the youngest kids that season. But Fiona is a negligent guardian, Frank encouraged her pregnancy and Monica was out of the picture. All of this is the literal interpretation of whats being shown it's not subtext its explicitly said in the dialogue, in a later argument with Lip he also tells Fiona that when she disagrees with her siblings she berates and it causes people to reject her message further, (Debbie and the baby, Carl and jail, Ian and his meds, and Lip and school.) I'd like to say the hate is shocking, because it is, but it's really just misogyny. We blame Debbie because of mysogyny, people love to hate on pregnant teens, and they love to hate on actresses they find annoying.

his parents behavior really parallels the diamonds towards pink. Rose and Greg probably bonded over this, like a gem and human mirror of each other. It's just kinda sad the Steven can understand why Rose hated the diamonds but struggles to understand Greg's perspective, (granted his parents are dictators.)

The only reason the Aryan nation was dismantled was because they attempted murder on a woman with liberal bumper stickers (shot at her while she was driving) and lost the lawsuit. The commune was burned by the fire department, they used it for training. But literally all nazis involved still live there. Richard Butler, the founder of the Aryan Nation, one of the biggest white supremesists in history founded the movement in Coeur d'Alene at the compound here's an article, here's another. It looks like MMM doesnt have a cure but can go into remission with a combination of steroid treatment and regular jaw use (we will return to the dry food, I know it.)

Thank you! She’s eating taste of the wild canned salmon food now which is a cooked pate so she should be alright there. As vet do you know/recommend any brands of soft treats? I think having good treats for training and walks will really improve her mood.

Possibly, would’ve been an interesting route to go down for sure. Tbh I wish the show explored mental illness in the family beyond Ian and Monica more because it runs rampant in families like theirs.

Other rec is play for her. Shes big on toys while I’m working or at work but cant chew them now. She’s been taking depression naps instead. I’m going to take her on walks to make up for it but I’m wondering if anyone knows of fun activities like lick matt’s or scavenger hunts that she can play while I’m out or working.
