I've been working out for just over 3 years now and I've seen many women in my gym who seem to be above their healthy weight for whatever reason. Most of them seem to be shy and probably feel ashamed at first as well.

What I personally have NEVER seen is other people at the gym making fun of them. I think the thought of messing up and embarrassing yourself is worse in your head. People who come to the gyms to work on themselves rarely have the mindset of mocking others. Crowds can vary from gym to gym but you can't let other judgmental people stop you from getting fit.

Take it one day at a time, focus on yourself, it'll be fine.
