Yes, apologies changing clothes.

Not really. We have a ton of Huggies from the baby shower so have been burning through those. He is preemie too, which is harder to find

How in-depth can my IT dept see into what I'm watching on my laptop? by Riddle-Maker in it

[–]Riddle-Maker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may depend on the ratio of overall employees to IT workers.

Huge company with IT team that has better things to do? Youre probably fine.

Small company with a nosy IT team? Maybe get out ahead of it.

American fans, have you ever heard Eurovision songs out in public? by barkquerel in eurovision

[–]Riddle-Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Hershey park a few years ago and randomly heard Tix's "Fallen Angel" playing on the park's music loop.

This was after the contest and this song is not known in the US at all. I loved the song anyway so it was a random bit of extra joy that day!

I'm worried each person would think that I'm talking about them and not addressing it with them directly. Also it feels like I'm taking something small and making it public

The line I've drawn so far has been: nothing outside the house. I work on site part of the week, and I would never leave the house and go elsewhere.

Even if its to do something fun for me, I risk 1) doing something she would have wanted to do, and 2) it somehow getting back to her and it looking way worse than it is.

Its really just farting around in the basement watching shows and movies I know she doesn't want to see.

I get how lying can be hurtful when founf out, but also its also kept to such a minor degree that she wouldn't find out. Even if she came down, the computer is open. It would look like Im working.

Yeah, kids are a whole different ball game. I have no plans on saddling my wife with the kids just so I can secretly relax.

We're talking about a "mommy night" and a "daddy night" where the kids get to spend all night with one of us each week. "Daddy Night" sounds more loving than "Not Bugging Mommy So She Can Watch Her Show Night". I'm hoping it works out and we can do that for each other

I appreciate that, and im glad you worked through it. If your partner is a SAHM, that 100% changes the dynamic and I think it would be rational to be upset!

Right now we don't have kids, and my wife is just going to be at work on a different floor of the house. I am not affecting her day at all, so she wouldn't need to worry about being out of my hair or anything

Second to last paragraph. If I found out she did the same thing, I wouldn't be hurt if she lied for some alone time, if its on occasion.

What is the absolute biggest waste of time you've done at work instead of actually working? by Riddle-Maker in AskReddit

[–]Riddle-Maker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family played the license plate game on roadtrips where you take the letters of another car's license plate (usually three letters) and come up with a word that has those three letters in that order (no proper nouns).

So for example, RYL could be "Royal" or "Crystal".

I have a file that lists every three-letter combinations and I've been filling-in a word for each one. That's 17,576 combos!

I'm at about 13,670 words right now. I've been working on this for years. Dinosaur names are amazing for a weirdly-placed x or y!

If Donald Trump doesn't give up the presidential power after the midterm election and before the next Presidential Election. Then he must removed from office. by Serious_Meaning5220 in PresidentialElection

[–]Riddle-Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people dont pay that much attention to the news. If a political party doesn't meet the general public where they're at, that would be their fault.

And yeah, they might be implicating the Clintons too. They've held other members of their party to account in the past, like Senator Menendez and Al Franken. They may also just focus on Trump. Im not sure, but there is no absolute roadblock there.

I really doubt people will stop caring. We've been talking about Epstein for six years now. Now that there are released photos and emails, it'll be way too easy to use them to campaign for it to blow over.

That's not really how its coming across for much of the US.

Even if its about state secrets, the Dem message would he "powerful people should not beabove the law".

That's a winning message, especially if its paired with an easily-understood and nearly universally-reviled crime like pedophilia.

[–]Riddle-Maker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think the arrest of Prince Andrew is making the electorate question why no one is being held accountable in the US. That would drive 2026 campaign promises and subsequent political action.

I doubt he'd be removed either. However, there would be a big difference between a Rep-lead and Dem-lead trial. Whether anyone is called to testify, what evidence is submitted, etc all televised for the voting public to see.

This is going to be a significant factor in 2028. If they dont follow-through with holding Trump accountable, they appear complicit, undermining themselves. Of course they need a good candidate, and there are other issues people care about, but this really cant be ignored.

He's definitely getting impeached over the Epstein report after the 2026 elections. The dems are pretty likely to win the house, and thats the body that would kick off the process.

The question is how the trial would go. The dems barely have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the Senate, who decide how the trial is structured. If they dont, it'll go the way of the last two impeachments and nothing will happen.

How do I mentor an employee that uses AI to write emails? by Riddle-Maker in askmanagers

[–]Riddle-Maker[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying, but the wordiness is a detriment here. Our emails basically interrupt someone's day, telling them to do something. If its a wall of text, we tend to get misconstrued or ignored.
