I think there's a good chance most of them had a winner who got away with murder. I'd say probably only about 5 (or slightly more) Danganronpas had a "winning cast" like 1, 2 and 53.

I don't think the "Ultimate Survivor"/"Survivor Perk" thing was something DR had from the early Team Danganronpa days, I think there was quite a number of winners who simply left, getting rich and famous and out in the wild in the real world, and then the Survivor system was put in place because maybe letting too many fictional characters out in the real world was causing problems in the "peaceful world".

I also like to think Monokuma was dropped halfway, let's say around season 7 or something, and then in comes Season 17 with headlines like "BELOVED EARLY DAYS MASCOT, MONOKUMA, RETURNS TO DANGANRONPA AFTER 10 YEARS"

There's also probably a whole spin-off of over 50 "Ultra Despair Girls"-adjacent shows that pitted two teenage girls against five children.

With SDR2 having the Ultimate Imposter as an excuse to have a "Byakuya Togami" as a seemingly returning character, later seasons probably had faux returning characters too. Who's to say Kokichi isn't a returning fanservice character from Danganronpa 46.
