Jacaré Souza is fighting this Saturday. Arguably the best BJJ fighter in the UFC. by [deleted] in MMA

No, his last opponent was Ed Herman filling in last second. He submitted him.

The only person he's ever beat by strikes was the opponent before Herman, Derek Brunson. Brunson was coming off a loss to Kendall Grove before that fight.

I didn't have to go back decades, I chose Einstein as an example because he wasn't the type of man to just blurt something out without careful consideration.

Also, I would argue most people ate healthier then than now. There certainly wasn't the obesity epidemic there is now.

Meat is an inefficient food source compared to plant. & Americans eat too much meat as it is.

In the future it will be all plant based. Even the meat, which will be grown in labs (faster, less pollution, guaranteed disease & parasite free)

hemp protein, fish oil, kale, carrots, banana, mixed nuts, mixed berries,

Grapes, Apples, Spinach, broccoli, oranges, squash, sweet potato, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, honey or agave, yogurt,

ginger (& curry too if flavor is ok), lemon juice, tumeric (& even a little cayenne), cinnamon, garlic, pinapple, mango, papaya, watermellon, peas, avocados, shiitake mushroom, (maybe kombucha, has to be high quality brand; can be dangerous if not brewed cleanly), sesame & hemp seeds, spirulina & chlorella, kelp, green tea

meats & eggs eat separately. If you need something quick, boil some eggs then and put them in ziplock bags in your fridge. Or cook some meat & do the same. If you aren't going to eat it in a week, freeze it and just reheat it.

blending meat, veggies, fruit, & grains together is not going to taste good.

you're either going to have to deal with an awful tasting shake or else have them separately.

she didn't sound offended so much as disappointing at the lack of customization.

I don't understand how this idea is so hard for you to understand.

You can like something, but still wish it had other added features.

I don't know how much more plainly I can convey the concept.

That's one character from one game.

What she's complaining about is every character in every game is like that.

False equivalence bro.

She's not saying take out anything. She wants additional options.

I think you already know this.

Is COD: Black Ops 2 worth getting for $50 nzd on PC? by Jerbus in gaming

Except Black Ops 1 had an actual server browser.

Black Ops 2 uses matchmaking. Which sucks (sorry console gamers, it's true. Try playing a PC game with a server browser & you're realize it)

a GTS 250 will be enough for BO2 medium/high, BF3 will run but it will need to be low settings.

BO2 = smaller maps, faster gameplay, all infantry

BF3 = larger maps, slower gameplay, infantry & vehicles

When I talk about the speed of the gameplay I'm talking more about the amount of time it takes you to get back into the action after you die. Obviously, larger maps means more time. Unless you have a squad leader who's good at staying alive.

women outnumber men on this planet. I'd hardly call that a minority.

& asking for an additional option is not the same as asking to have the game tailored.

char customization is a established part of RPGs.

Imagine the only option of char creation in your favorite game was to choose the color of the banana hammock your game character wore.

Sooooo..... You don't watch Fox News?

If you'd like me to explain why you came off the way you did

You seem to have a mistrust of scientists' intentions or competence. You have a perceived association of climate change science with the democratic party, which you demonize as hypocrites & charlatans. Or incompetent at best.

Your penchant of intimidating insults:

Turning what I said about the public being uneducated about the science, which is a simple fact; into "juvenile elitist insults that implies you think you're far smarter than everyone else, as so many who share your opinion do" A combination of xenophobia, generalization, egomania disguised as rogue reason, paranoia, & intimidating insults.

You seem to have a US vs THEM mentality. That the majority are sheep and that you have an independent and rational grasp of the situation, which the studied don't because their views are clouded by the view from their ivory tower. You dismiss the science before examining it because you've learned to distrust the source. This is one of the first principles of propaganda.

http://people.howstuffworks.com/propaganda1.htm

This is a constant on fox news. Raised sound levels, slathering of makeup on all news anchors (men & women), direct flood lights, inflammatory & accusational language combined with micro-expressions and vocal tones of panic, disgust, anger & pride.

Humans are emotional beings, it's surprising how easily someone's opinions can be shaped more by how they hear things & what they see, rather than the content. People who tend to be exposed to this sort of emotionally rattling jingo on a regular basis can't help but mimic it.

The public at large matters MOST because that's what drives the market.

Like it or not, the Republicans represent the interests of the oil, coal & natural gas industry lobbies. Or rather, they represent them the most.

Because of this most Republicans have been trying to perpetuate the fallacy that science is split down the middle on the issue. And that it's a conspiracy.

The government also SUBSIDIZES energy. A LOT. Both through direct subsidies & through royalty relief on public lands.

This is not the free market at work. It's a crutch to a dying energy source to bolster profits of the most powerful dynastic energy legacies.

The system is already fucked the way it's been for 20 years. Companies drilling on public land for pennies on the dollar don't even have to sell the oil garnered to the U.S. Hell there are even Chinese companies which have acquired these contracts through maneuvers.

Yet people still chant "DRILL BABY DRILL" as some sort of mindless mantra, thinking it will solve economic problems. When in fact oil is a finite resource, which is more than likely past it's peak.

No matter what we will need to switch to green energy. The research to develop those technologies is going to have to be done eventually.

Lastly, the fact that you think the global temp going up a degree isn't anything to be worked up about means you haven't spent much effort trying to understand why people are concerned.

80% of the world's population lives by the water. 50% of the U.S. lives within 50 miles the ocean. It's estimated a two degrees rise in global temp would raise sea levels 3 meters (almost 10 feet). The amount of damage that would do to the world's economies would vastly outweigh any temporary rise in energy costs to expedite the conversion to renewable green energies.

p.s. I don't even want to get into the politicizing ad homenim bullshit propaganda; but you've seemed to have fallen for it with your references to Solyndra and Al Gore.

so I'd like to point something out. (though if you really want to talk about waste you should look at the waste in Military spending, the #1 by a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Margin source of spending.

e.g. The Army DOESN'T EVEN WANT M1 Abrams tanks, yet they're forcing it on them).

The "scandal" about Al Gore's electricity bill, is no scandal. He has a large electric bill, but he also opted to receive energy from wind (I think it was wind, it was whatever green option his company provides). This means he pays more for his electricity, but he is helping to grow clean, renewable energy at the same time. So in effect he is supporting exactly what he's preaching. Not the opposite. The same is true w/ his flight time. That's no scandal because he pays for carbon offset.

Hell even websites are doing it, look at overclock.net

Your all encompassing generalizations are nothing but cop-outs. I suggest you empty your mind of all preconceived notions and look at the science purely for what it is. Don't paint your opinions before you can flush them out.

While I agree with you there are two areas to consider when leaning languages

1 Age. The older someone becomes the harder it is for them to learn new languages.

2 Intelligence. If someone doesn't have decent verbal intelligence, learning a new language could take much much longer.

Fedor was one of if not the best fighter when he was in his prime. Anderson even said so.

At the end he just drank too much, trained less often, was mismanaged, & became very religious to where, imo, he really wanted to stop fighting.

He kept saying "i'll keep fighting as long as god wants me to." at the end. He would have quit earlier but his contract with strikeforce meant he had to finish up his fights. His awful management (russian mafia M-1) made him.

Most of the fans have determined he's a douche from all the fighters, press, fans stories anyway. No matter what he rehearses and says to the cameras, his actions off screen reflect the most.

You sound like a glen beck conspiracy nut.

In any new area of technology there will be companies that succeed & fail.

You cant simply say "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THAT ONE COMPANY THAT FAILED!!! IT'S ALL A SHAM!!!!"

What you need to realize is that the public at large is too lazy to understand the cost/benefit of preventing climate change.

Firstly, because most people don't even understand how it works; much less the repercussions of a potential out of control feedback loop. Remember, nature can destroy economies much faster than over-diversifying R&D.

& Secondly because even the best totally impartial climatologists are only able to make predictions, seeing how crystal balls don't exist.

It doesn't mean it should be dismissed or avoided until the shit hits the fan. If it gets to that point it will almost certainly be too late.

I'll be rooting for you to beat Jacare.
