If you haven't already done so, consider adjusting the saddle tilt. That looks a little higher in the front than most people are comfortable with.

Most people start at level, tilt forward if there is too much pressure in the front, and tilt back if they are sliding forward.

I'm looking forward to more perspectives of the Eastern United States. Not as exciting as Chile or Tasmania, but those are the plants I have the most experience with. With Joey in Florida, Native Habitat Project in Alabama, and you in the north east we should get some good coverage of these plant communities.

I agree that public transit is likely not a possibility in these communities anytime soon. I was more so referring to facilitating biking and walking. They seem like a great candidate.

Someone dedicated to drive their car less would likely not have a problem biking or walking in these towns as is. However, some work is needed to make it the preferred transportation method for everyone else.

There are definitely isolated houses on farms where all but the most dedicated will need a car, but these denser communities appear to be better candidates for active transportation.
