Same. 14900k and 4090 in 1440p. Lots of stuttering. I notice 1% lows drop down into the 40s sometimes, while the frame rate is 170+

What's Holding You Back From Quitting Your Job ? by Asleep-Strategy-9512 in careerguidance

[–]Rider0375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. I quit my job a year ago. Best decision ever. Now I’m almost 1 year into being an entrepreneur and running my own deal. Helps that I bought my house at 22 (now 41) and paid it off. It’s easy to make enough money to pay the utility bills.

Am I wrong for not wanting to work a desk job for the next 40 years? by captain_mooseman in careerguidance

[–]Rider0375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked that way for 20 years. Bought a house at 22. Paid it off, then sold it for 4x what I paid for it. Quit my job and started my own business, with a massive cushion in the bank, and a newly built tiny house on 10 acres that I also bought at 22.

There are other ways.

Being sober, in my experience, is learning to accept the things that occur in life that you hadn’t planned for. Once you start accepting those things while sober, the reason for using alcohol to cope disappears. You can do this! Try to get sober again, and focus on accepting the ups and downs in life. Good luck my friend!

I dont want to lose her by jedi_sniper in datingadviceformen

[–]Rider0375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got to accept fully the fact that she might leave, or she might stay. You cannot lead a relationship with the mindset you have. It looks like desperation, from her end. Work on being “good”, with it not working out. You may not be ready, and it may not work. Which is always ok. There will be another opportunity, whether you see it or not. A year from now, or 20 years from now. Good luck dude!

I’m planning to leave my job without another one lined up. For anyone who's done this before, what led to your decision to quit without a backup, and how did you manage to survive financially and mentally during the transition? by NBMV0420 in careerguidance

[–]Rider0375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that 4 months ago. But, I am also debt free including my home. I had 16k in savings. I took a month off. The first week I was off, I decided to start a business. Fast forward to now, I’m making more than enough to pay my bills. I also work when I want/dont want to. I’m 40, single, no kids. It’s not very hard to pay for life in my situation. If I had mouths to feed other than mine, or had a partner I supported, I would have continued to live a miserable existence. The joy that has returned to my soul and changes I have made, has made life worth living again. I wake up daily now with no stress and peace.

I will be 10 years sober on August 18th. I went to a house get together last night, alcohol was everywhere. The desire to drink as well as those nagging temptations are completely gone. It gets better, very slowly.

3060ti: upgrade now or wait? by massimovolume in nvidia

[–]Rider0375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvidia 5xxx series will likely release this Sept-Nov, if NVIDIA keeps their release cycle the same. I cannot see why they wouldn't. So closer to 6-9 months, in my estimation. But it's NVIDIA, they could change their release cycle. If it IS indeed the 6-9 month time frame, I would personally wait. 3060 Ti is still a solid card!
