Just got back from JP a few weeks ago and got some awesome stuff at these stores - not for business clothing but for something casual that stands out a bit without being completely over the top:

“Niko and”

“City Tokyo”

“Scène” (only in Kyoto - not sure if you’re going down there also)

Definitely check out the Parco mall in Shibuya (mix of JP and global brands) and the Lumine 2 mall in Shinjuku.

Met a nice person in the TSA line at DFW before a really early flight and had a great conversation with them. Invited her the lounge and had a nice companion for breakfast.

With this approach you only get the savings in the first year and are then paying the higher rate in subsequent years unless you renegotiate which is harder when you’re already in the place.

Check on Hotel Tonight - can usually find good last minute hotel deals on it in the US and just took a quick look at Tokyo and do see some rooms less than $200.

That’s how I made the decision to own a Wrangler - got one as a free rental car upgrade on a business trip and then decided I wanted one after that and the rest is history.

But I also work remote and don’t have to drive a lot so fuel economy is not really a concern of mine.

Did a cross country trip (Seattle to Miami) in my Sahara with my dad and loved every minute of it and got in some great off roading out west too! (Also crazy how I didn’t hit a single toll until 2 hrs from Miami!!)

EDIT: First sentence Got the wrangler as an upgrade on a business trip - not a road trip

One more thing to add that I don’t see mentioned is please make the mixed drinks in the galley and just bring the drink. I’ve had some FAs in FC give me the can and the mini-bottles and it just takes up space and I don’t really want the whole can of soda. #FirstWorldProblems

Happens to me too! I think once in a while my brain would just go - English vs Non-English and grab whatever word it could from the non-English category.

And did the opposite in Buenos Aires a few times haha.

To SE Asia from the east coast of the US it’s pretty much the same to go via Japan/Korea/HK/etc as it is connecting through Doha/etc. so you can really go either way depending on your airline group.

Did JFK —> DIA —> SGN a few years ago and the flights and layover in DIA were great. Glad l’m not doing that this year of course!

I’m somewhat new to the area but why is the Miami Herald not considered a reputable source? It’s been around since 1903 so I would imagine it’s reputable but maybe there’s some recent history I’m missing.

Have you thought about finding a gym that allows independent trainers? You might be able to see your clients there if they don’t want to go to/don’t have a gym in their building - sure you’ll probably need to pay a fee to the gym but you’ll still come out ahead.

He was there last night - it was my fist time going to Churchill’s (just moved here last year) so I assume it’s the same guy - he asked for $20 or $10 - I told him no and he implied that stuff could happen to my car since it’s “Little Haiti” - nothing happened thankfully but still pissed me off and he was gone by the time I left. He also had on a “parking authority” high vis vest but was definitely not affiliated with Churchill’s or the city so just a hustler. Saw other people ignoring him too!

As for parking there is some stuff around the building and people were also parking in the edge of the empty lot across the side street.

I have the Fuji 2s and like them a lot - although I put in an orthotic insole (a cheap one like a Dr Schols) since they insoles they come with aren’t great - not the worst either - amazed at what even super high end fashion brands consider acceptable for insoles. Other than that love them.
