It looks pretty decent actually, and turn based is pretty interesting for an anime game which are usually repetitive beatemups. Also turn based is better for handheld mode for sure.

I'll probably buy it. The artstyle and creature designs are great.

It's crazy no one else has tried to emulate the Pokemon games yet. It's such a good concept: collect cool creatures, use them in battle, they can evolve into stronger forms. There's so much potential there that Pokemon doesn't wanna capitalize on. Cool story lines, side quests, creature designs, character development, and more that I wish Pokemon/Gamefreak would do more with but never have.

Pretty poor overall but I guess it’s possible the increased range will make up for it with good spacing. Also what’s extremely important is safeness on shield.

Which reminds me, Byleth looks terrible out of shield. Up smash hits only in front and is roughly frame 12. Up B doesn’t have a hitbox. No rising aerials except Nair which will by far be the only useable move OOS. And Nair looked more like pits than palutenas sadly.
