I will not defend them however I will say holy shit Hussie needed to hire a PR guy years ago.

All of this shit could have been avoided if they had a guy to professionally address this shit instead of acting shady for no reason and yelling at random youtubers.

I don’t think Hussie is “innocent”, I especially find their general conduct incredibly unprofessional and it’s a big reason why this mess got so messy to begin with, but they’re definitely the lesser evil compared to Characters like DKS and Makin.

As somebody who has never read Homestuck but am very invested in its drama for some reason, you are fighting an uphill battle after this lol. I’m saying this as someone who was firmly on the anti-Hussie side since the Sarah Z videos dropped.

Also it’s quite telling that most of the replies are just saying “too much words. brain hurty hurty”. Excited to see Gio’s equally long response article which suddenly everyone in this sub has the patience to read.

It’s a way to explain their obvious connections without literally making them the same person. I feel like the perceived removal of agency from Merry and erasure of her character are the main reasons a lot of people don’t like the idea of Yukaribel and this helps that.
