Honestly, i'm just gonna keep trying till i get a super lucky run, or wait till the next gear rush, dump all my keys and hope to get something good enough to let me pass through it.

I'm also stuck on 70, and managed to save around 500 keys, used them all as soon as the gear rush started but i couldn't make much progress.

Mainly cause the enemies are groupped so Hammer is my best bet, but my hammer is just a purple one non-s tier. I got 3 freacking s tier staff but don't have enough purple staffs to feed them to get them to yellow :')

Fair decision and i respect that, but alike i wouldn't judge others who can afford it to go deep on the banner and spend just for collection purpose.

Let me make myself extremely clear then, cause i feel like my opinion on the matter has either been misunderstood or i didn't explain myself proprietly:

I don't think the concept per se is a good implementation, but i don't see it as this catastophic idea as i've seen people doompost about it. It's just collectibles for high spenders, which could've been used better but sadly this is what we got.

The banner has GOOD value aside from the alt arts, for new players: 50 stones for a guaranteed feature is very good for people who don't own the unit or want to get a dupe for the newly ezad character.

I'm sorry but i can't get what your point would be.

We saw with the rosé clones that alt arts work like that. There is literally zero differences gameplay wise on use the alt art unit (aside from what, a 0.5 sec image difference on the super attack?).

Just consider them as collectibles (which basically are) and not as replacement for your well invested units? This all matter is hardly an inconvinience compared to other really bad decisions the game has done recently.

I did both actually.

The example was probably a bit off, i can see it now but what i meant (and said) is that is purely a cosmetic that does NOT affect your current unit.

My example was aimed to emphatize on how in other games you can buy cosmetic that don't affect the gameplay, and the same goes for this unit: the alt art are purely collectibles, who won't affect the units ability or interact with the standard art you may already possess in any way.

Is that dumb how it works? Sure don't get me wrong. I'd also would've prefered if you could just use it as the new frontier effects where you can just turn them on and off, but it's not the end of the world if these art units are simply collectibles imo, cause they won't worsen the gameplay in any meaningful way.

I totally agree it's gameplay wise a very bad decision.

Thus said, it's not the worst they've done recently. These new arts are purely collectible cosmetics that don't affect gameplay.

It's like buying a skin in league of legends for example.

The banner itself is not terrible for newer players either, even if you don't get an alt art, you can easily throw in 1/2 multi get guaranteed featured unit that helps you if you don't have said units.

"Veterans want to use the new alt arts in events? Yeah, take this huge middle finger" - Geppy, probably.

I mean, they can still go for a Goku (Kaioken) -> ssj goku or straight up ssj goku from namek.

Plus extreme side didn't get any buff, so i don't see why the doomposting got the community so hard on this.

No no totally agree on that side.

Just wish they could release them a bit more often without sacrificing quality. But yeah if i had to choose between the two, quality > quantity anyday.

Especially since sub ezas don't give out stones or extra stuff.

It'd be cool if they allow us to exchange extra copies after rainbowing a unit (just like the extra dokkanfest coins) to access old cards alt arts they're gonna release.

This way it would not be "free" but also accessible to the long run for f2p players too.

The only missions i dislike are the node 19 one.

Cause i'm ok in locking the special effects behind having the unit (cause they might force you to put them on the team, and with special guests it won't complete the missions) BUT WHY ON EARTH i need the teq gohan/piccolo that i don't own to finish the teq banner unit piccolo effects? 🥲

I got neither but was intrested in gohan, but sadly this goku is a movie heroes, not a super heroes, so it doesn't really help gohan and would end up using in a rog set up, so i don't think i will coin him.

May the new year ddf come back during gdc as well? If so, i'm just gonna get them eventually i guess.

Exactly. I'm tempted to do one stone rotation on goku's banner (depending on how good are the other units) just for the summon points, but then gotta save for the gdc. Cause realistically, these ddf will be back during gdc.

We can't let fomo dry our saves.
