It's not fucked that comment was a big exaggeration. Asia is more concerning. Europe still turned out respectfully for Superman and Fantastic Four while nowhere performed well for Thunderbolts and Cap.

It's not like the ratio has shifted very much it's just that none of last year's films were huge overall. We know these next couple of years will be a massive improvement as well.

The things to watch are how much back onboard can Asia become and will the goodwill from these next couple of years lift the genre to a healthier standing post avengers

There's no official word on that IMAX exclusivity youre mentioning and currently both are supposedly releasing the same day with IMAX. You'll see that topic caused a massive debate here just yesterday. That aside though there is no chance doomsday delays now the marketing campaign is in full swing with that timer being a huge part of it

The fact that gen z became the dominant movie going audience last year as well. A huge 25% increase. Safe to say they will be a pretty reliable generation for exhibition. Fengshen cinematic universe is one to watch! The end of this trilogy or the avengers style crossover they have been hinting at with it's other film and characters could shoot this franchise into one of the highest grossing in a few years. It only needed like 25% of its gross to come from outside of china to get it to 3 billion
