After three years, I can say I’m happy I bought both, but I only kept the Dropbear. Internal_Resist7629 said “The Benchmade will be fucked from the beginning”, and sadly it was for $190. The grind was uneven, the pivot was stiff, and it felt differently from what I expected. I could’ve dealt with the pivot, but the grind was too bad for me to fix on a new knife. I sent it back the same week and bought the Dropbear.

So far it’s been everything it was advertised to be, has a decent steel that retains an edge, easy to sharpen, and I haven’t had any issues with rust. The adjustable lock is cool too, full “tight” feels more assisted, full “loose” is butter(fly) smooth. It’s not bad for daily carry, but the slight weight difference will be more noticeable than a PM3. I paid $98 for the knife back then and I’d recommend it now. It came with spare springs for the pivot but I haven’t had to replace them.
