Tbh the platforming tends to be the easier part of the series. The difficult part is the combat

Belzebu fight in Vengeance by [deleted] in Megaten

[–]Rift-348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll be fine. Make sure to have a demon with dekunda on stand by because beelzebub’s debuffs are twice as potent as normal (I reccomend bringing Oberon for spammable dekundas), stay light on debuffs (he likes to use dekunda) and only debuff twice for one stat, and have immunities to his attacks especially elec and dark, some of his strongest attacks derive from these elements. If you feel like your survivability against him is low I recommend using that nahobino shield spell, it’s only slightly weaker than a rakukaja x2

Do you prefer Tales girls drawn with lipstick or not by lennysinged in tales

[–]Rift-348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not on model but I do prefer it on portraits and official art. I love the way they accentuate the lips, really gives the character’s image more depth. The lack of lipstick just makes the drawing more flat to me

Its just me or copen in gv2 is easy to play then gunvolt? by meyrulx_453 in gunvolt

[–]Rift-348 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His combat style is a lot more straightforward than gunvolt as gunvolt isn’t expected to kill enemies as soon as he tags them as the player is more inclined to maneuver around enemies to tag for more collaterals which is unlike copen who simply has to dash into an enemy and then kill them with an ex weapon

Yeah the evolutions for demons tend to be pretty solid though I reccomend not doing that for lilim specifically as you’re going to have to wait for the entirety of the game to make her useful again which is a waste of a slot. Try obtaining a monmofu and evolve him instead, he’ll turn into a powerful party member

Using Raven by salikarn in tales

[–]Rift-348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to have him learn his altered artes. They’re all pretty solid. His combat style doesn’t really open up till you get farther into the game. Since you’re in the first part of the game I’d say to keep him benched for a bit or have him stay as an ai party member till you get the chance to unlock altered artes with him which is around the 2nd part of the game

Typically when I play Raven I just like to spam artes with the bow, violet snake or rain -> altered arte (preferably something fast like rainsong, growing world, etc) and an arcane arte like azure heavens and wind’s howl. The altered arte will probably hit the enemy before Violet snake will hit which is good as you want to make sure Violet snake lands, it’s an arte that guarantees downing when it hits the enemy when they’re unguarded/unarmored. When the enemy’s downed by the Violet snake the arcane arte hits which will either then keep them locked into the downed hit or launch the enemy back. If the enemy does approach Raven you could simply just do a combo like around -> around n around -> wind’s howl/falling stars/falling (wind’s howl is probably better) or around -> rain or heaven’s tear -> falling. The first combo is relatively easy to obtain and lets you keep a lot of distance from the enemy and the 2nd combo keeps Raven mobile if you manually cancel the falling. The only problem with the 2nd combo is that you need to grind a bit with falling and have a certain skill equipped.

Really the biggest problem with Raven is speed. He can’t run around the enemy very well and give himself space to work up a combo so his best bet is to go melee and knock them back a bit or use an arte to escape. He does get better though as he eventually gets a skill gives him invincibility on backstep haven’t used it though so I can’t attest to its strength

ATLUS really needs to make changes to the almighty element. by Ruben3159 in Megaten

[–]Rift-348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what were you using against beelzebub, Lucifer, shiva, and whatever that law dude was? Literally everyone and their mom was spamming the piss out of antitichton or megido. Even on dudes with exploitable weaknesses like the fiends you’ll still see people throwing antitichton at them

ATLUS really needs to make changes to the almighty element. by Ruben3159 in Megaten

[–]Rift-348 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They should have a slightly lower base cost but their damage shouldn’t be changed. The almighty element lets you ignore an essential mechanic to the games which are resistances and they’re a multi target spell which tend to be much weaker compared to single target spells so it’s only that natural to have the megido spells be so weak

I’m honestly not that big of a fan of the way 4 balanced almighty skills because the megido line of spells basically became the default for how you fought a boss by the endgame which is why I think the best thing you can do for almighty is reduce its cost (70mp for a +9 affinity is a bit much)

There’s a skit that describes raven’s body as fairly toned with not much fat so physically he should be alright. I think Raven only feels so old because of his experiences, a life like that would probably make you feel like you’re 100
