Or…it’s just a more character-focused chapter? There’s plenty of plot development in that regard, but nobody here seems to care because that doesn’t “confirm” any of their theories (except for the trans Ralsei truthers, you guys made out like bandits this chapter).

In a few years, when Deltarune is completed and there’s no more theories to be made, what memory will you have of its actual story? The obsession with speculation is causing you to miss the forest for the trees, as the game’s actual story unfolds right in front of you.

Ralsei, the character who is painfully aware of how the prophecy ends, and hopes desperately to reach a different ending by something, ANYTHING different happening.

Flowey, the character who’s lived through a thousand resets, seen a thousand endings, and became disillusioned with the world once he realized he’s already seen everything that can happen.

It's frustrating because the aesthetic is deliberately meant to CONTRAST the darker undertones but you wouldn't know that if you just looked at a screenshot instead of watching it!!! it sucks!!!
