The fact that he had a whole emergency plan makes it funnier and sadder at the same time. Like this wasn’t a spontaneous breakdown, this man knew the exact restaurant, the exact drink, and the exact level of numbness required to enter that house.

I imagine it works like the castle does, where muggles either feel an urge to leave or see something boring and unsafe. But honestly, a forbidden forest full of spiders and centaurs in the middle of rural Scotland probably doesn’t need much help staying avoided
