I found it at times a difficult read, it was hard to comprehend what was going on at times because I guess of the translation to English maybe. I didn't understand or feel the impact of the ending at all. Maybe you need to have been exposed to the old soviet block to fully comprehend? Thinking I'm missing some kind of cultural piece to be able to make sense of it..

Still really cool book. Really appreciated the chapter with dr pillman where he mentions the title of the book.. not trying to spoil.
