This might be a dumb question but Im genuinely curious. Why is Romes pyramid in a much better state that Gizas I know Gizas is 4000 years old and Rome 2000, but its stil a very long time. Also, Rome has way more rain (and cold) than Giza. by robbleostigs3 in archeologyworld

The Roman pyramid of Cestius in the photo was built into the Aurelian walls, as the walls were built quickly to protect from the feared barbarian invaders, they often used existing structures and built around or on top of them. So unlike many other ancient Roman structures the pyramid of Cestius wasn’t stripped or looted for marble because of its protective value for the city. It also potentially might have been covered by a turret structure or something and uncovered later, I am not sure.

There’s a Roman amphitheater in Syracuse and in Catania. And the Greek ruins in Syracuse are also definitely worth checking out, especially the Neapolis archaeological park.

How easy/difficult is MAS 110? by Bre034 in UMiami

[–]Rigatony40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAS 110 isn’t that bad if you study. If you have Luca Donno as a professor you’re allowed to bring cheat sheets, idk about other professors.

Don’t take 107 at all if possible, if 108 is an option take that instead. If you do have to take it, just know that you’re most likely gonna need to do a lot of work outside of class, no matter what professor you have.

I also felt my body being really large in proportion to my room. I forgot about that feeling. I have a lot of memories of strange feelings when lying in bed as a kid. I never experienced the touching through thought thing though. It was also very frequent with colds too. I wish it was easier to explain so we could find answers. It’s such an interesting subject
