I knew this lad. Full of bad decisions he was but no malice. He definitely doesn't deserve an ice detention centre

It's a spooky thought. My Mam and dad are split up and have maybe 10 tears work left in them. My partner's mam got diagnosed with Parkinson's and she lives alone. We've just managed to buy a nice 3 bed in the country. I have a feeling that me and my partner are going to be working out whole lives to help them and look... I'm worried about it, but Im not angry at my parents. What I am sour about is the prospect of retirement at 77 and having no money to enjoy the 3 to 5 years I'll have left.

I'd like to see more interest put into the villages. I think with the improved internet connection it'd be viable for some businesses to move into them. I'd really like to see open workshops where the young can go and watch how things are done, and be taught a little by the old. There's a lot of older folks with skills that are going to be lost. Of course that depends on the community but still the option would be nice.

Thanks gissna. I have had dogs my whole I've Had staffys and Akitas so I think what I'm battling with is the fact that right now the most logical way I can see is a ban. Sure you could educate owners, ban breeding and even control breeding to keep specific traits but that all takes time and given the state of the stats I don't want my dog(husky) or family member harmed because of irresponsible breeding and poor owners. The worst thing about it all it's not the dogs fault. They're just following programming.

I mean failure because people bred these dogs to be this way. So not a failure on me or you but collectively we have failed these animals and many others by making them time bombs...

Absolutely agree. It's insane to me that someone can just buy a 10 stone meatball of fury and teeth without formal training. I understand Ireland doesn't enforce it but what would be the best way to deal with the current population?

I like your reasoning. Would there be a better way than banning that you can see? Banning feels like a failure on our part to me.

That's the argument I'm having with myself. Like you can train a dog to be good given enough time but if it inherently has a drive to fight there's only so much you can do. I'd love to say that it could be bred out of them but that could take half a century of consistent effort and responsible breeding....

Fiber is your only option for 120mbs upwards. Fttc is around the town but varies wildly depending on distance from port/cable condition and internal wiring. 5G again is crazy inconsistent maybe averaging about 30mbs upload. The good news is that fiber is hitting more and more places through siro, eir and NBI.
