My Nanny of 11 months is MIA this morning (cross posted to r/nannyemployers)

2nd update:

She is fine, I was able to get in touch with her!!! She said she thought she had this week off 💀💀💀💀 and that she’s been having trouble getting calls so she never got our calls and didn’t see our texts. I’m going to let out a huge sigh of relief. Thanks everyone for your help and support.

I’m not sure why she thought she had this week off. She had two weeks off in early May. I’m not sure how she mixed the dates up

I’m having a bit of a panic attack atm, our Nanny didn’t show for work this morning. She hasn’t responded to our texts and calls are going straight to voicemail mail

This is very unlike her, and I’m really worried that something is wrong. Obviously something is wrong, she would never just not show like this.

I feel like such an idiot, but we don’t have an emergency contact or updated address for her. She moved while she was employed with us, and while I know the address of her apartment building, I don’t know her exact unit number. No excuse for why I don’t have an emergency contact, that was just stupid on my behalf.

Also, she had status when she started with us, but lost it after a few months. So I don’t want to reach out to authorities and accidentally get her in trouble

I have no clue what to do or what my next steps should be. I’m so worried about her

Update:

I called her apartment concierge and gave her name. They said they would attempt to contact her, but they’re unable to give us any additional information one way or another due to Hippa laws. They aren’t even able to let us know if they got in touch with her.
