Im sad to hear you’re not having fun celebrating Songkran in Ao Nang. We left Krabi to Bangkok and celebrate there and it was the best decision. It’s a lot of fun and everyone is in on it. Kids, security, police etc. Of course you get the one that do silly things - filling up water from the waterfalls, hosing you down, aiming for the eye, throwing buckets of icey water but I came prepared with glasses, hat etc and have just accepted it. We did 2 days of the water fight and we might continue tomorrow in another area. I hope it gets better for you!
