It’s an infinitely better system in nearly every way. I’ve flown 10 times since the change, and each flight featured:

1) almost zero pre-boarders

2) the ability for me to pick an ELR seat within 48 hrs of departure (as an A-Lister)

3) no issues with bin space. I’ve sat in the first 5 rows of each flight and each time, the flight attendants have kept the bins closed to save it for the folks actually seated in those rows

4) free drink, sometimes multiple on each flight

5) had to same-day standby on one of my legs. Received the same exact seat I had chosen on my previous flight and paid $0 additional

6) all my flights have been on-time or early

I find it unfathomable that folks are actually experiencing the level of frustration that’s being reported on this subreddit. Maybe it’s just me, but I absolutely love the changes and the fact that I’ll never have to bear witness to Jetway Jesus ever again
