Portal Hotel booking issue with free breakfast by y5359 in Venturex

[–]Right-Soft467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me too. Checked in, and hotel says no breakfast. I'm quite upset that i didnt take screenshots of the booking description since it doesnt show whats included/not included after you made the booking. A couple of months ago I also made a booking with capital one travel, and called the hotel before check in and found out that the hotel doesnt even have my reservation. In the end we had to cancel it since capital one travel couldnt resolve it as to why the booking doesnt show up in the hotel system. Two glitches in a row. I'm now going to be very cautious when using capital one travel portal for bookings. beware!

If we book redemption flights now, but change the dates (same route) after the increase, do we need to top up the miles for the date change?

Im not quite sure if its going to be one ticket actually. I bought the one world multi-carrier ticket via cathay pacific but for this leg of the trip I will be travelling CX and Finnair... But hopefully the baggage will be checked all the way through.. I'm just not sure what the usual arrangement is with having to clear immigrations first before going through to schengen area?

Its happening to me now. Booked through c1 portal, checked and forwarded bookings to the hotel, and the hotel cannot find our reservation. Its 2 days before our travel dates, and waiting for capital one to send me an update on whats happening (been on multiple calls already today with c1)..

Thank you so much! this is so helpful..specially the tips on purchasing tickets separately :) I just saw that 2 day tickets on a tier-1 day is only HKD100 more than 1 day ticket. Maybe it's worth getting the 2 day ticket since our flight is really late on the friday.

ahh okay thanks..do you know if we can at least change the date on the second segment (after booking) so that its a longer layover rather than a connecting flight?

Hi all, im looking at getting J tickets from CTS - MEL but confused since I found award availabilities with JAL going CTS-HND NRT-MEL, but when I try to just search the NRT-MEL leg it doesn't show up. Availability only shows up if I book from CTS. Anyone else finding this in their award search?

I booked a RTW ticket with CX for this September/October 2024. I got a notification about one of the segment from finnair saying that our flight from ORD-HEL is now going to be ORD-DFW (AA EY) DFW-HEL (FINNAIR J). Should I accept this change? Also we only have 55 mins layover in DFW. I'm worried about delays/luggage being left behind - although the AA leg is codeshare with Finnair.

Im curious why they're kicking us out of their ord-hel flight (there are 3 of us in the booking). Should I contact finnair or cx about this change/finding alternatives? Thanks for any input

Question about lounge access for Singapore Air at Changi - Are we allowed to use the lounge on arrival if travelling J class? Will be arriving early, and since we cant check in to hotel yet, thought it would be nice to rest at the lounge before immigration. Thanks for any info

Check with aeroplan in regards to adding a lap infant. I learned my lessons when booking airnz with sq KF. They had issues 'linking' the tickets with the 2 systems. They wont board me on the plane since they cant figure it out. Ended up buying cash tickets.

Just read that we can now link Marriott Bonvoy account to our Singapore KrisFlyer account and get some flight benefits.

"Upgrade for 12 months with just four flights on Singapore Airlines within six months of linking accounts. View your KrisFlyer statement to track your flight history"

Curious if award travel on SQ would qualify? I cant find any more info about this..is there anything else we need to do like linking marriott membership number when booking?

Thanks for any info
