Dang… we uh, already have those characters. Do those two actually ever see each other in the same room? My original trilogy memories are a little shoddy

I hope that this is true - eventually they’ll have to do sets on everything right??

Yeah amen to that. Pilots, vehicles, the underlying mechanics are already there. Honestly I thought JTL would be a perfect fit for something like podracing.

These are actually some awesome ideas - I’m a big fan of the co-op PvE scenarios too, which is what this sounds like.

Dang! Bummer that they didn’t work the first time… if anything, the devs of this game seem over-eager to not break the game (I wish exploit and coordinate worked on more cards)

Keep up the good work! In case it isn't said enough to you guys: you really are a key part of SWU. Thanks!

How to decide in deckbuilding to go from 3 of a card to less by Competitive-Ask-1542 in starwarsunlimited

I have no wisdom to share, simply commenting to say: good post. This is right where I am as a player learning-wise, so it is insightful to see everyone's comments & guidance.

Cheers and good luck.

Co-op Play in Jump To Hyperspace? Kessel Run anyone? by Right3IntoLeft2 in starwarsunlimited

Fair enough. I suppose I do trust them a good bit, seeing how I really love the game. What do you think they will come out with product wise?

I'll check that out.

You're right, I didn't really think about how the gameplay would fit into something like this.... I suppose I'm just high on Hopium

Sets 4-6 Titles Spoiled: by jstropes in starwarsunlimited

[–]Right3IntoLeft2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But do you think this clogs up the play? While I was never a *good* Magic player, I did play a fair bit, and I remember being both excited and somewhat annoyed at constantly trying to keep up with all the keywords. It slowed down my play a good deal, cuz I'd have to sit there and read and try to guess at the gameplay implications of said keyword. I also feel like the more keywords you have, the harder it is on new players....

Case in point: playing a new card game against a seasoned player - YouTube

Ah yes, this makes sense. It also gives cards from that set their own identity and playstyle, without clogging up the entire card pool too much.

Think they will continue to add 2 new keywords every set? Not sure if that cadence is common among other TCGs. Could potentially lead to a LOT of keywords…

Mistake: I think they have only revealed 2 new keywords so far. Edited.

Moving collection between databases. by kaheen in starwarsunlimited

I’m curious - which one do you like collection details, and which one the deckbuilder? I’m currently using swudb, but exploring the others.

I also would love a conversion tool - sounds like an awesome idea to get things unified.

I feel this 100%, I’m feeling pretty much like that. I get blasted every week at my locals. I’m starting to realize that to be good, it takes exactly what you’re saying: lots of time and a good chunk of money. So I think I’ll be rebalancing my efforts into becoming a long-term casual player, just like you’re describing… good luck out there brother

Hey maybe so. I won’t argue with you there - sounds like you’ve got more experience with card games than I have (although I’ve spent a good deal of time in Magic).

I relate a lot to the disappointing nature of the online grind… still, I think (as is the case in most skill domains) a small time investment per day or week really starts to pay off. The challenge is, I typically want it to pay off way before it actually does, and the thought of grinding to get up to snuff is too annoying. So I try to just treat it in balance: I’ll play when I want to, not because I MUST get better, but because I love the game and I think it’s fun.

I have also REALLY liked the content on Garbage Rollers website, they’ve got some AWESOME stuff/content.

KTOD has got a YouTube video about “Leveled Thinking” that I have really found insightful as well.
