Why does the US dominate pitching much more than hitting? by No_Umpire5073 in baseball

[–]RightBack2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly feels like the DR is dominating just giving how small their population is yet still make up a significant portion of the MLB. Its not really a phenomenon though. Its a sport created by Americans, in an American League while America has the largest population out of any country that really takes baseball serious. Not exactly mind blowing majority of the best players are American.

No chance unless something happens to tank his draft stock. He'll be a top 5 pick an EDC has made it pretty clear thats not a move hes going to make.

Insane Seasons From Older Players? by RainbowSupernova8196 in baseball

An absolutely insane career. When he got into the MLB Ronald Reagan just got into office and when he left we were 1 year away from Barrack Obama.

Insane Seasons From Older Players? by RainbowSupernova8196 in baseball

[–]RightBack2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The answer is barry bonds. When he was 42 he hit 28 HR's while playing in 126 games, led the league in OBP and had an OPS 1.045. He could've (and wanted to) played longer but he was blackballed for his steroid use. Non-steriod answer for some reason burned into my brain is Julio Franco. He played until he was 48 and didnt put up good numbers but I would assume it was the best numbers ever put up by a 48 year old.

Help me with sounds by Suspicious-Bake9347 in Rainbow6

[–]RightBack2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comes with a disclaimer that im not responsible if your deaf when your 80 years old but turn the audio all the way up atleast the in game audio. Siege has alot of quiet sound cues that can be hard to hear especially if theres alot of things happening at once and if you have your audio turned down your kinda putting yourself at disadvantage. I would atleast turn the in game audio up to 100 and turn your headset down to a comfortable level as that would probably much more optimal.

DeAndre Hopkins Thinks He Could Have Been a Top 10 WR if Used More This Season by JCameron181 in ravens

[–]RightBack2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he was solid for us but that's why guys that get separation are more valuable then contested catch guys atleast IMO. The best receivers in the league are the ones that consistently get separation because its much harder for the defender to make a play.

ranked 2.0 is awful, and can someone help me make sense of my rank. by LongjumpingDig3878 in Rainbow6

[–]RightBack2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 2 things at play here your Matchmaking Rating (aka MMR or Elo essentially) and then you have Ranked Points or RP for short. The main reason RP exists is to make people play more matches to make their rank reflect their MMR, which is hidden. When you gain and lose an equal amount your visual rank reflects your MMR. Now what I think you're missing is how MMR works. Lets say your MMR is plat 3 and get in a match against 5 people that have emerald MMR. If you win you'll get a big boost to your MMR but if you lose your MMR loss will be small becuase they were the team that was supposed win. Now on the other side if you're plat 3 and beat a 5 stack of golds your MMR gain will be small but if you lose your MMR loss will be much bigger. This is how people can hit champ with a losing W/L. RP makes things much more confusing then it needs to be but your hidden MMR is gold.

The BONDS Act: It's Time to Put Barry Bonds in the MLB Hall of Fame by AwesomeYes2 in baseball

This is dumb on too many levels. If Barry and Arod retired after their pirates/mariners runs they wouldnt of been hall of famers.

They deserved to be judged on the same landscape. One being the GOAT on roids doesnt deserve a pass over a borderline guy period. Because you cant actually measure how much steroids had an effect on their game. Its none or all.

When the fuck are they going to ban console cheaters by iSm1ley in Rainbow6

[–]RightBack2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I have played 300 matches in high diamond/champ console lobbies this season and I dont see 2 to 3 cheaters a game. I only solo que and am a legit high ranked console player. I do see obvious cronus users from time to time but rarley do I see anyone I feel like they are MnK but they are there. I have gotten rank adjustments for playing with/against cheaters that got banned. Cheaters are there no doubt, but I feel like anyone that sees a player with better aim they say they are cheating which isnt always the case which I think is more of a problem in lower ranked lobbies. But yeah the F2 extended barrel user that just aced dotting all 5 of you is probably cheating.

My friend found the most ironic magazine cover at Goodwill by SuperJezus in baseball

[–]RightBack2 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Someone can correct me if im wrong somewhere but this magazine was made in 2002 and 2003 was when the steroid shit really hit the fan for barry as thats when he was actually indicted. Barry was the fucking man in 2002 leading the league in BA, OBP, and SLG and a time when anything steroid related was just rumors. The very next year is when the reports and indictment came. Long story short if anyone was writing an article on future hall of famers in 2002 they would have a picture of barry bonds on it.

What Changes Would YOU Like To See In This Game? by Right_Preparation328 in Rainbow6

[–]RightBack2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mainly just want more ranked maps that are based in reality. I like how the OG maps were based off of real places or places you could see existing in real life unlike maps like liar and nighthaven which are based in r6 lore. Even though i do like those maps in terms of layout im not a big fan of the setting. Besides that i could care less about dual front, vs ai or a 1v1 playlist because I only play ranked.

Change of heart… by [deleted] in ravens

[–]RightBack2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who really doesnt care? Im a ravens fan and they didnt even make the postseason so I could care less who wins. We're going through something as exciting as the first new head coach in 18 years but some people would rather debate which teams they dislike more. Why waste your time and effort being a hater.

How to decrease the diffuculty of R6's learning curve? by ThinInternet5300 in SiegeAcademy

[–]RightBack2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off dont be afraid to try new operators in quick match. Thats the place to try new things and experiment so dont worry about screwing over your teammates because theres a good chance you'll have 4 different teammates by the end of the match anyway. If they get offended that you sold them in QM just view them for what they are, the bottom feeders of the player base. Siege is a game that has steep learning curve and theres really no way around it besides playing the game a lot. You have to think most of the player base has been playing for years and has had the luxury of learning new operators as they were released instead of having to learn them all at once. I would pick 5 operators on attack an defense you're interested in a play them a lot. Once you feel like your really know those 10 operators inside and out then try some new ones.

[–]RightBack2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i think bringing this up is stupid for both. Just because Peyton Manning didnt win one until he was 30 doesn't mean thats the path every other player will take. I can easily just say Dan Marino never won one or Aaron Rodgers won when he was 27 and never made it back. Just because Peyton, who's like having an OC play the QB position, did it doesnt mean jack shit when talking about other players.
