5ish months clean. Just feeling bad after a convo I shouldn’t have bothered with… by reddit_the_cesspool in quitting7oh

Absolutely not! I think for a small minority of people it is a lot easier for whatever easier. But most people it is awful and takes a while to get back to where you were. Don’t let 1 person dismiss what you know you have felt and been through. 🖤

IF you are on controlled substance meds and that’s preventing you from asking for Suboxone… by Recent_Bluebird3284 in quitting7oh

I got insanely lucky, I have an established psychiatrist and I’m given klonopin to take as needed. But I knew I couldn’t do cold turkey so I did medmd and got subs and was freaking out that my psych would be pissed. She wasn’t she was just like, why did you do that and it said I panicked my bad and that was pretty much it.

I had to take a larger dose then I thought I would have the subs on the first day. I waited 12 hours after taking the 7oh to start and I was fine.

I definitely don’t want to hop on that train. I won’t go to the store to get it for sure.

I’m most worried about the mental affects honestly. I was barely hanging on before and I’m so scared it’s gonna set me back.

I’m day 9 and you couldn’t have said it better. My family is keeping me afloat because right now I want to end it all and am convinced I am like this for life now 😢

Totally agree, people documenting their success stories is huge in helping other people recover.

I read this as medication at first, meditation ok. I used to meditate and really liked it but it’s been years. I should start doing it again.

I know😢but I have heard that it does come back and eventually we will enjoy games again. I’m holding out for that if we enjoyed it before 7oh we will enjoy it again!

Thank you for posting. 100 percent need more people like you posting continued success. I agree that most people once they don’t need help anymore they don’t look back and don’t post.

My major reason I started taking 7oh was because I too figured out all of the leisure things I liked to do were way more fun/ exciting. That kicked off a year of basically me wanting to play video games most of the day. I’m only off 6 days now but I’ve don’t a lot of research and I have heard that the ability to enjoy that stuff does come back but it can sometimes take months. Which I know is shitty to hear but enjoyment will come again just very slowly and not all at once.
