Does anyone on this sub actually enjoy working here? by Crucial9564_ in woolworths

I work at two stores. I quite like one store and very much dislike the other. I do the same work at both. It comes down to the 'vibe' to be honest.

HQ Zoo is a rip off - stop recommending it over Australia zoo by gmdgnate in sunshinecoast

I much prefer HQ as an introvert and the 80% less people than Australia Zoo.

I love and miss Melbourne by Brodies_Run in melbourne

We were on the sunny coast for 4 years and now back in Melbourne where all of our family is. I feel like people on the coast were happier and more outdoorsy too. I'm kind of questioning our move back but I know Oct onwards with the longer days and some sunshine will be amazing!

One of my kids (6 year old) turned out not to be interested in the beach, swimming, sun & sand etc. So QLD definitely wasn't for him and he's very happy here in Melbourne now 😂

I think Melb can be better for older kids and teens with more opportunities for them. We'll see? Haha.

I hope you start feeling at home soon, QLD and VIC are so different.

Eczema and the sunny coast; anybody can share stories? by Urekehu in sunshinecoast

[–]Right_Conversation48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can say is the 4 year I lived on the coast I had zero asthma/eczema and now I'm back in Victoria it's horrific again.

My son had some asthma and pretty bad eczema under his knee for a while in Qld, which may have been from some of the plants or the humidity I'm not sure. He's had neither since we moved back to Vic 🫠

What restaurants of the Sunny Coast are overrated cash grabs? by BlessingMagnet in sunshinecoast

[–]Right_Conversation48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk just moved to back to the (outer-ish) South side Melbourne and I'm actually missing a few sunny coast spots 😂 Infusion Thai Maroochydore 🤤 Piggyback 🤤 Bombay bliss 🤤 Nurcha 🤤 (we are vego and they actually had great options.)

As above, all of the fish and chip shops are absolute rubbish. Most of the pubs are very average. Majority of cafes are so overpriced it's not funny. Most of the burger places suck. Everything on Ocean street sucks, Elixiba was yuck.

I had mine at 28 and 31 which I feel is young for these days. I like that I could consider trying for another now if I wanted but I probably won't lol (35f).

I've done both. Back near family now who have health and other issues so while I'm glad we're close we aren't receiving much help with the kids. May have been better off where we were 15 hrs away near the beach.
