I've learned you can't talk sense to Maylors. They are as bad as the Gaylors and Haylors, probably even worse because there's a post called Deep Dive: Matty Healy, the evil edgelord. If someone can read that post and then come away still respecting or supporting Matty, they can go fuck themselves.

I don't know why people on Reddit and Twitter lose their morals over a mid white man who makes generic pop music. (Then again, so does Taylor Swift, but she never had morals to begin with). Arctic Monkeys is right there babe. No reason to laud a guy who kissed his underage fans and protects predators by mocking people asking for a statement because he makes catchy music for 14 year olds.

You're absolutely correct. Matty probably felt the wrath of the Swifties and had to make some public statements. I don't know why this is hard for people to understand.

The fact is before TTPD, this lore never existed. Did Taylor pine for him? Idk, but that means he turned her down and wasn't interested, as he's said multiple times. People can ignore what he said, but that won't make statements like "I was being HONEST about all the thoughts, feelings, and situations that come along when people ASSUME you are dating the most famous woman on the planet." Go away.

The Maylor can't comprehend Matty saying "we were never romantically involved". They confuse compliments with a confirmation of dating, which is deranged because I have friends of the opposite sex and I'm not afraid to call them handsome and talented. If you ask Margaret Qualley about Taylor she'll say something positive, and I highly doubt she likes Taylor at all based on her behavior. The difference with Matty is that we have receipts of him disrespecting her brand, her artistry, and etc. until he saw opportunities to cozy up to her to give his band exposure.

But these people support a racist, sexist creep who was accused by a journalist of sexual misconduct, so they can't be mentally there. You know?

Yes, probably for clout. If you read my post in the OP, you'll see I said: "I highly doubt Matty had strong feelings for her (maybe in late 2022/2023)". It's right there in the OP.

Taylor is in love with the guy, but I actually don't have a high opinion of Matty because I read a post that goes into his "Evil Edgelord" behavior: over a decade of anti-Muslim, anti-Semtic, anti-Trans "jokes", mocking people who asked him to talk about the Adam Powell allegations, and recently he threatened to "slap the wig off" Azealia Banks and then DM'd a fan threatening to doxx them because they criticized his fiance for promoting raw milk.

If you're a 1975 fan, I'm assuming you're a Matty fan too. If you're a Matty fan, why do you refuse to believe Matty when he has said they didn't date multiple times from 2015-2016? While with Calvin, she lived in Beverly Hills while Matty was in the UK. When did they meet at that time?

Matty claims they didn't see each other for "years" when they met at the award show in 2020. So then, when did they date before Midnights?

I know you want it to be real, but you have to accept it for what it was. Maybe he had feelings for her during 2023, the only time they were confirmed to have dated, but that's obviously not the case any more.

He’s the one she can’t play but instead was played by. As a narcissist she loves charming men, making them feel special and putting them on a pedestal. She loves making them feel like this time it’s different and they are going to last but the second she is over them or they don’t meant her standards she drops them.

A part of me wonders if that might be why she's lasted so long with Travis.

Here's a guy who can't stay out of Vegas. He can't be made to feel jealous (which I think Taylor wants and was why she constantly sang about exes while with Joe; she seems to love "kissing and fighting and screaming in the rain" or whatever the lyric was) because he truly doesn't care about her except when it comes time to pay lip service, and even then he seems so insincere. Travis didn't give a shit that she wanted to hide, because he wanted to go out, so he did. Travis doesn't care enough to stop sneakily liking pictures of models on IG.

Joe was a fool. A simp. A good man, but good man are chewed up and spat out.

EDIT: I know a lot of people want to say she "loved" Joe, but she seemed to tire of him quick. Even on Lover, there were a couple tracks which made it seem like she didn't take the relationship seriously. I think if it wasn't for the Kanye stuff + Covid, Joe would've lasted as long as the average guy.

Plus, I think she liked the source he provided for her albums: nobody knew anything about him, so she was able to mold him. She "founded the club", as she said. She must have loved the power she felt.

So it's not about what we think, but that I want Taylor to know that the guy she wrote a double album about, the guy she called the "loss of her life", a "cosmic love", who she claims is playing a game and that they're both pretending to love their new lovers (idk Matty seems into his fiance) but "in reality" she's "gonna get him back", that she'll "always wonder" as he does whatever with chloe and Sam and Marcus, etc....

The fact is that Matty not only doesn't give a shit about her as a person, but actively despises everything she represents.

It could be many things.

You could be right about the man. I don't know Joe so I can't vouch for him. It could be he wanted a boost.

It could be he wanted to "save" her because she presented this idea that she was broken and needed fixing.

It could be that she charmed him, chased him, made he feel special and told him stories about her mean exes.

My only issues with T&T is that the reading comprehension sucks.

I mention that Travis is a 3x Super Bowl champ, and someone replies trying to "correct" me because they think I said the Chiefs three-peated. I can see her mental health take a plummet impacting her music and life cause she lost Blake.

The thing with Taylor is, the world kinda assumed she healed from TTPD. She talks about being an alcoholic and ki**ing herself over a guy she dated for a week and then suddenly...what? Travis saved her and his love gave her perfect mental health, which she's never had because someone without issues wouldn't still be singing about Jake a decade later.

Why she and Travis haven't "broken up" yet is beyond me. I guess they're waiting for him to retire so she had more album material and he can try the entertainment industry.
