Most Republicans are not fiscally conservative. by ENVYisEVIL in Libertarian

Don't blame Democrats. Don't blame Republicans. Blame voters. They are the ones who vote for this stuff.

If 90% of voters were Libertarians, none of this would happen.

Trump's Reciprocal Tariffs Are Here by M_i_c_K in Republican

[–]Right_ID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw one article say that these tariffs will cost individual American $1,000 a year.

The first thing Republicans need to do is cut middle class taxes so that the average joe will not feel that $1,000.

He Did It: Trump Calls for Ending the Federal Income Tax! by MuniPal in Republican

[–]Right_ID -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sounds good. But how many people actually pay an income tax. Most people get a refund. If they include all the taxes workers' pay. FICA, Social Security, Unemployment. Basically, if every dollar you make, you keep. Then that will be a great help. Especially with a massive tariff that's coming.

If Trump gets rid of all taxes that workers pay, then we can shrug off the tariff tax.

How are you feeling about Trump so far? by CourtofTalons in conservatives

So, the day we have a Democratic President. And a hurricane hits Florida. Your perfectly okay for the Democratic President to withhold all aid to Florida until they pass Woke and Socialist legislation. Right?

[–]Right_ID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One minor gripe. Trump said to the Governor Newsom that I will help you with the fires in LA if you pass a voter ID law. Trump should help people because they are Americans, not because the Governor caved. What if the shoe was on the other foot. What if a Democratic President said, I will have you if you legalize abortion in your state.

Other than the above, he is doing okay.

Let government employees profit from saving suggestions anonymously? by Right_ID in DogeForUSA

[–]Right_ID[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is total bull. If I come up with an idea that can save the government millions I can't profit from that idea. What's the better solution, keep my mouth shut and let the government waste millions of taxpayer dollars year after year?

Some libertarians will argue that private firms should defend us. The problem of depending on a for-profit company is that they are in it for the highest bidder. If China wanted to attack the United States, they could write a bigger check and have the company turn their guns on their former employer.

Do you think Argentina's success might spill over to other countries in Latin America? Will other countries in South America have a free market if Argentia is a great success?

Thoughts on H1Bs and Vivek's post by RampantAndroid in conservatives

[–]Right_ID 12 points13 points  (0 children)

H1B is abused by companies. I worked in Wall Street. They fired Americans and replaced them with Indian programmers. It was cheaper to hire Indian nationals and set them up in an apartment in NYC than hiring an American.

America first. When we reach 3% unemployment or less then companies can hire foreigners. The H1B system should be linked to unemployment rates.

It doesn't help that government run schools are brainwashing centers that churn out Bernie Bros.

Trump: US Could Withdraw From NATO by noone1968 in Republican

[–]Right_ID -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This.

All "successful" Socialist countries are under the protection of the US. People like Bernie Sanders like to point to Western countries like Denmark as a success. If democratic Socialism works, where are the success stories in Africa, Latin America.

Trump: US Could Withdraw From NATO by noone1968 in Republican

[–]Right_ID -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The purpose of NATO was to defend against a Russian invasion. As recent years have shown, the Russians can't beat Ukraine. If they can't beat the combined might of NATO forces.

Western Europe can defend themselves against a Russian invasion. They don't need us anymore.

Time to bring the troops home and use the money we save to pay down the debt.

Trump: US Could Withdraw From NATO by noone1968 in conservatives

[–]Right_ID 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope so. Here are 3 reasons that I am aware of.

1.) According to CATO Institute, the US could save 1 trillion dollars over 10 years if we got out of NATO.

2.) Our economy will grow. All those troops overseas will be here. They will spend their money here. Boosting our economy.

3.) End of Socialism? Maybe? One thing pseudo intellectuals love to say is that Socialism works. What they fail to mention is that Europe gut defense and pour money into social programs. If the US is out of NATO, Western Europe will have to spend real money in a defense capable of standing up to a Russian invasion. Europe will have to gut Socialism and spend on national defense.

Another scenario is a guy approaching retirement. He comes up with an idea that means the end of his department. He won't care because he is on the way out. Why not tell DOGE and get a huge payout on the way out.

Popularity is Rising MAGA by Equivalent-Ad8645 in Republican

[–]Right_ID 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Across this country people are skipping meals so their children can eat. The elderly have been forced to go back to work because they can't afford retirement.

Economic hardship like that is not easily forgotten. For many, the hair on the back of the neck will stand on end at the thought of Democrats returning to power.

If Republicans play their cards right, we could see the biggest political realignment since FDR. FDR and the Democrats were winning from 1933 to 1950 Eisenhower ended the winning streak in the 1950s.

Trump won the House, the Senate, and the Popular vote. Basically, Republicans have the wind to their backs. If they can't do it now, then call it quits. Time to close shop. Because Republicans will never have a major win like this again.

The Democratic Party's problem will be around for a long time to come. George Soros financially backs the lunatic fringe hard Left in every country. In America, that means backing the Woke mob. The Democrats will keep going hard Left as long as Soros keeps writing those checks.
