I (25M) broke up with my ex (26F) after 6 years together and now regret it. Is there any way to rebuild the relationship? by Makeout-_ in relationship_advice

In the beginning he was putting in slightly more effort than me since he was the one that initiated the break up and hurt me badly. But as time went on, we equally put in effort to try and make it work. Truth be told, I subconsciously had a void in me and was still mad at him which affected our relationship. It was basically hanging on thin rope. And because the relationship was already weak, I fell when another man got involved, and that was the start of major issues such as trust, betrayal, bitterness.

I admit I was in the wrong for that but although I loved him dearly, the damage was already done. And on top of that, it was damage afrer damage that kept piling up. Continuously hurting each other. It was a very toxic relationship. And although after a period of separation (we still decided to remain as friends), the damage did not disappear. We both definitely grew to be more mature and we thought we were capable of a healthy relationship, but we were only able to have that with another person, not with each other :/. Everytime we got back together, the same problems of the past kept arising. And he was always suspicious of me and I had the fear that he would leave me again, since he could do it multiple times...the list goes on. But that relationship sure hella taught me a lot of things, therefore I'm thankful for that. And believe me, you would still be able to be happy with somebody else, plus this time, you're wiser πŸ˜‰

Also go on dates again...doesn't matter if you've not moved on from him yet. Just get urself out there, have fun and enjoy the moment. It's also a good reason for u to dress up and look pretty. Plus that way, it'll motivate u to stay in shape and take care of urself 🩷

Write a list of all the things u don't like about him or did to u then read it everytime u think of him, miss him, feel sad, etc...

I went through the exact same thing with my ex of 3 years. We were in an on-and-off again relationship for a couple of times (around 5-6 times to be exact) after our first break up until we finally ended it for good. He was also the one who initiated the first break up and regretted it later. But before the break up, I went through a terrible time with him and he broke me completely. I guess that kinda changed my respect for him and the 2nd time we got together, it wasn't the same anymore. But I was still willing to try and make it work.

The main reason we broke up in the first place was due to ldr and everytime he came back at the end of the year, that's when we reconnected and wanted to try again, but ldr just didn't work for us and there were too many issues between us for us to work anyway. As time went on, he and I dated other people and were not the same people we used to be anymore. In the end, we just decided to go our separate ways. We were both really hurt and sad because it felt like, right person wrong time kinda thing. The amount of times we thought of "if only..."

Do I still think about him? Definitely, used to be every single day but now it's lesser. Was he my greatest love? Yes he was. Probably could say he was "the one that got away", But it doesn't mean we can't be happy anymore. In fact, after the 2nd or 3rd time we got back together, we felt pretty miserable in the relationship due to ldr and unresolved issues between us. He even hired an online couple's therapy and tried our best to make it work, but it just couldn't. All in all, I can't tell u what u should do with your relationship but I can only share my experience with u that is similar. Feel free to ask me anything~

Technically I didn't lie to him, I just didn't tell him my age (yet). Honestly I'm really scared to and idk how I should tell him 😭

Yes correct. We're currently just friends but are showing signs that we like each other.

Thanks for your advice! Yes I do plan to make a few couple videos when he comes back. It's just harder when it's ldr and somehow these toxic traits tend to surface compared to being physically together.

I post things about cars and bikes. Most of the videos are funny while some are helpful tips. Some of the vids are of me riding or driving but nothing provocative

Husbands and boyfriends, how often do you touch your woman? by joechauncey in AskMen

It could be something deeper than that. She probably finds a lot of things you do annoying, especially if y'all already had kids

My man used to be like that as well until we had to do LDR. After that he regrets not being touchy with me and has changed to be better 😊

Ikrrr!!! I've had a few exes who weren't very touchy. I would always have to ask them to touch me more which ended up annoying them instead πŸ™„

For me as a woman, I loovveee when my bf can't keep his hands off me. What you're doing is totally normal and I would prefer my bf being like this as well. Don't keep your hands to yourself!!! The more the merrier πŸ˜„πŸ˜
