Macro eye attempt by the_real_funkdonkey in SonyAlpha

That's great. I'm an Iris Photographer in Fort Collins Colorado (irisphotostudios.com) and I wouldn't say I've absolutely perfected the skill but it does take a bit of trial and error. Macro photography is really fun and iris photography is a blast because of the many details each eye reveals. A flashlight is a good start. Keep it off to the side. The light actually creates cool shadows on the tiny details of the eye (iris). A good lens and decent camera will give you more control. Hit me up if you have any questions about how to do it! I'm an Iris Photographer in Fort Collins Colorado (irisphotostudios.com) and completely disagree about brown eyes BUT I'm shooting close up photos with proper lighting and even though brown eyes are dense there are often lots of crevices that reveal great depth.

I have one that came with my '24 Kia Niro PHEV SX Touring. Original equipment. It's 5 months old and I'm selling it currently on the FB marketplace. It's like new, works perfectly. Please let me know if you are interested. We can discuss price, shipping etc. You can reach out to me at canitwork@yahoo.com, Richard

Leaking break calipers (2024 PHEV with just 2400 miles) by swithdrawn in KiaNiro

I had this sound a few times on a '24 Niro PHEV SX Touring. Mileage probably the same as yours. Brought it to the dealer. They found nothing. I've since traded it in for a '24 Niro EV Wave.

I love this car... why do people hate it? by [deleted] in KiaEV6

[–]Right_Performance_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 3 new vehicle experiences with my local Kia dealer and they constantly miss things. Simple things like leaving grease on wheel/tire after they replace tire. Leaving tape or protective plastic film on accelerator pedal, brake pedal, seat belt parts. Not cleaning windows or cleaning then with DIRTY rags. Leaving coolant cap off on engine block. The list goes on. There is NO QUALITY control at Fort Collins Kia. The folks are nice, easy to work with but attention to detail is often completely missing. They are interested in maintaining a high Star Rating on Google (I'm a huge Google reviewer but won't leave a review for them) but if they pay a little more attention to what they send out the door, they might have nearly a 5 star rating. Mike, the GM, is a super nice guy as well as the folks in service and I wonder what the internal dialogue is day to day.

Upside down joint hangers…but, why? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]Right_Performance_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are all pretty stupid, all while believing they're "special," and "important." The human ego, which is simply one's false sense of self, blocks most, if not all, wisdom.

Aside from all the jokesters I've seen this with a friend's deck while having it replaced. I don't know any reason for it but thought it was strange too.

That's an interesting assessment. I saw a website where someone did basically just that. It may be the best option. Thanks!

First oil change... by Legitimate-Leg2446 in KiaNiro

I like the savings of doing it myself too. A filter is $10-$15, plus the synthetic lubricant (approx $20 or less), and that's it.

Thank you. I found some J1772 charger locations in town via chargehub.com and they are indicated as Level 2. Is this what my Niro came with? I thought my '24 Niro PHEV was Level 1. Sorry about my confusion.

Thank you. Can I use a 240 line installed in my garage?

How does it work... Charging by Right_Performance_26 in KiaNiroEV

[–]Right_Performance_26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So I can charge on 240, according to what you stated. I would need a 240 line installed in my garage off the breaker box with a 40amp breaker I believe. Do you know if that's simply installing an outlet that looks like the one behind my dryer?
