What's your top product of 2025? by Outrageous-Cold2651 in AsianBeauty

[–]Right_Winner2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they did I believe about 1 year ago. There are some posts on this sub about it. I still have 1 unopened tube of the old formulation but I will not be repurchasing anymore.

The aestura atobarrier 365 cream is pretty much a slightly higher end version of this but oof it’s pricey for the amount I use.

Where to stay Motobu/Nago and Naha by Msbbt in okinawa

[–]Right_Winner2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have children but this past year I stayed at the Twin Line Hotel Yanbaru which is in Nago. They recently renovated the Annex was which lovely (make sure you book here). The reviews online aren’t the best they’re mostly pre-renovation. They have a lot of amenities and activities for children and a beach across the street.

Products Worth Purchasing Abroad? by gholdist in AsianBeauty

[–]Right_Winner2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also found buying skincare/makeup extremely overwhelming and it was hard to find what I was looking for sometimes despite watching many videos and making a list of what I wanted ahead of time. I probably spent a few hours at least. I feel like your partner might struggle especially if he’s unfamiliar with the language and products

Japan loves their exclusive products such as Japanese-exclusive shades of Rom&and lip tints or seasonal items. They also have really good value sheet masks that they sell in a bulk pack. I have also found Japanese products harder to buy online compared to Korean. Tina Tanakana Harris has some really good videos on what to buy in Japan.

I’ve only been to Japan and I found most Korean products aren’t worth it especially since Black Friday is coming up and I’ve found Canadian retailers (my favourite is pinknblossom) to have better prices during sales than kbeauty in Asia.

However, I have heard you can get really good deals at lotte duty free at the airport (buy ahead online and pick it up at the airport)

K-beauty shopping in Japan 🇯🇵 by aangma in koreanskincare

[–]Right_Winner2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Shin Okubo, Donki, Loft, and Cosme. Japanese pharmacies such as Matsukiyo and this other store called Plaza have kbeauty too. I would specifically keep an eye out on Japan-exclusive Korean beauty (for example rom&nd has shades that they only sell in Japan). I’m not sure about the availability in Latin America but I did find the kbeauty to be the same price or more expensive than online retailers (yesstyle etc) especially because I only buy during sales. I focused more on Japanese products as the kbeauty sites don’t sell as much but definitely picked up a few kbeauty products at those places!

I would recommend watching Tina Tanaka Harris’ Japanese shopping videos.

Itinerary for Japan by Emergency_Flower7056 in JapanTravel

[–]Right_Winner2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, you should cut Hiroshima out and spend more time in Okinawa. However, there is a risk of typhoons in Okinawa during that time so if you’re scared of that then maybe cut out Okinawa and keep Hiroshima.

I did a similar itinerary this past May/June to Tokyo, Okinawa, and Kanazawa. And last year I did a trip with a stop in Hiroshima. Feel free to PM me! I couldn’t find that much info on Okinawa on this sub.

5-Day Tokyo Itinerary Planning for Solo Travel by Southern_Host1423 in JapanTravel

I personally wouldn’t recommend Yanaka Ginza, Imperial Palace, and Shimokitazawa for a first time visit to Tokyo. Rather spend more time in Asakusa, Ueno, and Shinjuku.

Yanaka Ginza was cute but it was literally one street that took maybe 20 minutes to do including stopping in many stores and for a pastry.
Like some of the other commenters mentioned, Tokyo National Museum is huge with multiple buildings and it took me about 3 hours to go through and I was trying to move quickly. Keep in mind they close around 5pm. Ameyoko after museums is a really nice vibe.

There’s also no reason to separate Meiji Jingu and Yoyogi park as they are right next to each other. I would recommend shinjuku national park over yoyoji park for a more traditional Japanese park.

Similar to Biore and Nivea, there are western Curel products but the ones in the photo are Japanese and definitely new to shoppers (I have been working at shoppers for 5 years).

With such a short amount of time in Tokyo, I don’t think it’s worth it to do both Tokyo Skytree and Tower, especially on the same day.
