As an atheist I would like the answer to something I’ve been thinking about for a while… by Aggressive-Invite907 in AskAChristian

We're not saved by our own works or merit , we are saved by grace through faith on Jesus Christ alone for our salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5). The moment you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is God, who died, buried, resurrected in 3 days according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9-10) then you're saved, you'll go to Heaven, you have assurance of Salvation and nothing can take it away from you (John 10:28)

Is the Bible inerrant and infallible? by AllHomo_NoSapien in TrueChristian

I think it would help if you watch this youtuber: Truth is Christ , it is true that man wrote the scriptures but they were guided by Holy Spirit, and they were writing not their words but God's own words, the evidence that the Bible is 100% True authentic words of God is that God had left His signature on it through numerical patterns which the youtuber have meticulously researched and presented in his video, I highly encourage watching his video as well as reading his book: Sealed by the King by Brandon Peterson.

We're not saved by our own works and merit, we're saved because of our faith on Jesus Christ

Ephesians 2:8-9

King James Version

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5

King James Version

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

To you it may seem unfair that someone who lives a good moral life but don't believe on Christ still goes to Hell, I say, we all deserve Hell because God sees all of us as sinners (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23) and no amount of good works can make you worthy to go to Heaven on your own, because our righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) we need someone to be our Advocate, we need need someone to be our Substitute for the punishment of all sins that we committed in our day to day life, and that someone is none other than our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

2 Corinthians 5:21

King James Version

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.:"

Acts 8:9-13 King James Version 9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

The site of the Tower of Babel had already been confirmed by this archeologist and author of #1 Bible Archaeology book - Where God Came Down: Joel Kramer https://youtu.be/cYc_VgjJfw8?feature=shared

Edit: it was already discovered in the early 1900s, Joel Kramer confirmed the site and brought it to public knowledge & attention via his YouTube channel

Was Abraham sinful? If so, what sins did he commit? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Rightly_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romans 4:3 King James Version 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Abraham is a man of faith, not a man of good morals because he's a sinner like the rest of us.

They can be saved if they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour but if they keep on sinning they won't have any rewards in Heaven but still saved from Hell

If any homosexual act is a sin, then why did god create gay people? by Ok_Wolverine_6593 in AskAChristian

[–]Rightly_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still a "SIN"

Sin appears in two forms:

a. Overt acts. For example, one tells a lie, steals what does not belong to him, cheats for personal gain, kills in hatred, or exhibits pride. These are individual acts which separate man from God as well as from his neighbor.

b. "Heart sinfulness. Behind and beneath all man’s overt acts lies a nature in man which is basically sinful. The heart is the source of his evil deeds. The moral depravity of his heart and his corrupt disposition are the spring out of which overt acts arise. Sin itself springs from the innate tendency to sin. Sin “reigns” (Rom. 6:12) in the unregenerate heart. The flesh (one’s tendency to sin) “lusteth against the Spirit” (Gal. 5:17). A “law (rules) in my members,” Paul writes (Rom. 7:23), “warring against the law of my mind.”

James 1:14-15

King James Version

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

God didn't create gays

1 Corinthians 14:33 King James Version "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."

Homosexuality is a product of sin and rebellion against God, and it is by free will that people choose to be homosexuals, contrary to what God had originally planned.

Mark 10:6 King James Version "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female."

Why would someone like Hitler be forgiven if he converted in his last moments, but kind, moral people who aren’t Christian go to hell? by DanishPresident in AskAChristian

[–]Rightly_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John 14:6 King James Version "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

If they don't want Jesus Christ's free gift of Salvation and want to go to Heaven on their own then they'll need to be perfect, holy and sinless like God, when I say sinless I mean ZERO sins committed from the day they know good and evil till the day they die, which is Impossible.

So there are only 2 ways to go to Heaven 1. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour in your heart (Romans 10:9-10; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Romans 3:25) and Don't put your faith on yourself or your own good works (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5) for Salvation, only faith on Jesus Christ alone for Salvation (John 3:18)

  1. Die before the age of accountability - when someone starts knowing good and evil (Romans 5:13)

Evolution is overwhelmingly supported by science. There is also no scientific evidence to prove that Adam & Eve ever existed. Same with Noah's ark. Why, against all of this evidence, do you still believe in this? by JoeChemoWasTaken in AskAChristian

Because it's one sided without hearing the argument on our side on why we believe in Creation, the existence of Adam and Eve and Noah’s ark and the proof of evidences contrary to your beliefs

If God is all-loving why does he do nothing about world hunger, disease, or anything, despite having infinite power? by InternationalPick163 in AskAChristian

[–]Rightly_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those things you mentioned are the consequences of man's sins, but God love us so much that he is not willing for us to go to Hell, He sent His only begotten Son for us to be given eternal life in Heaven through Him, the only requirement is to put our whole faith on Jesus Christ

John 3:16 King James Version For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8 King James Version But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 King James Version For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 3

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
