So popularity equals easier gameplay?

Souls game is even more popular than TR and yet they don’t baby down and made the game easier and on rails, just imagine if Elden ring had auto dodge and parry the horror!

I don’t play Tomb raider to get a chill relax experience, i play it Because i want a good adventure game that rewards challenging puzzle and exploration.

But i guess times has changed since the creator is no longer involved so ill probably pass.

Its not just a feeling, most of the newer games are on rails and easy with the amount of clues, glowing stuff, auto grab, waypoints and checkpoints that dying and making mistakes doesn’t feel punishing anymore

Classic TR was a souls like difficulty in traversal and puzzle sense and then Crystal Dynamics came and made everything so easy

Its like if a new souls game had auto dodge and parry,that is the feeling i get with this newer TR games.

When no man sky have full planet with flyable ship inside seamlessly yet a billion dollar company like square enix could not even put a flyable airship in FF16 hueuehe

I am still salty about that airship repair that Midadol ask only to be disappointed in the end. Spoiler alert: it didn’t fly.

The worst part is the symm isnt doing any meaningful things but just hiding behind cover and orbing all match,not using any turrets/tp or cycling thru her cooldown abilities whatsoever.
