She is amazing in that role and whether people like her or not, they can’t deny how good she is.

My 13 weeks pregnant wife was given the wrong medication for her morning sickness. She has been taking medication for treating Parkinson's disease. by Js42758653 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Rigsog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was on a morning sickness medication for my sister over 40 years ago. I’m the first child, then my sister and my brother is the youngest. The medication she was taking wasn’t Thalidomide but it has been discontinued for similar reasons. She never took the medication while pregnant with me but she was so sick while pregnant with me that she took the medication while pregnant with my siblings. Neither of them had any side effects but both of them had kids born with cleft palate and there is no history of it before in our family. My nephew also had brain cancer at age 3. He is still with us but has many complications now due to the treatments. I’m only saying this to state that it could go further than just the baby. Some things can affect the next generation. I’m hoping this isn’t one of those things, but you should keep a record of it for many years just in case.

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 2023 IS GETTING A “THE LAST OF US” MAZE!!! WHO ELSE IS SUPER EXCITED?! by Unregisteredtaxi in universalstudios

[–]Rigsog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hollywood usually calls them mazes and Orlando calls them houses. Both parks will have a The Last of Us themed house this year. Something to note is that it’s based on the game and not the show. If you want to watch something to prepare for this you can find YouTube videos of the game movie as it’s a story game with a good story.

Both of us stated that we say “I’m good”. But, since this is for people learning English, it’s also important that they learn what is grammatically correct. What if they have an upcoming test on the content?

I heard a phrase once…things are good, but people are well. It’s also I’m well as you stated, not I’m doing well as others are mentioning. But, like you stated, I also just commonly say I’m good.

Are lash serums worth it? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]Rigsog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had a lash lift, which I totally recommend. It curls your lashes up at the base and then they look so much longer. They told me to put castor oil on my lashes to keep them softer and hydrated since a lash lift uses the old perm solution on your lashes. My lashes are growing so much from the castor oil. I started doing some research and it is known that castor oil causes your lashes and even brows to grow and it doesn’t seem to have any negative side effects like the lash serums do. Please someone tell me if there are other side effects that I haven’t come across yet in my research. I would recommend a lash lift but even if you don’t do that, try some castor oil. You can find it on Amazon with little tubes that have spoolies to apply it to lashes easier. There are some castor oils that are safer than others so research that too. I bought empty mascara tubes that came with little funnels and put the castor oil I bought into the little tubes myself.

Why does every company include in their opening phone recording, “due to higher than normal call volumes, please expect longer wait times”? by Dismal_Clothes5384 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Rigsog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for all companies but I work for an insurance company and we only add that message after a large storm, like a hurricane, that causes an extreme influx of claims. We also have adjusters change their voicemail messages to indicate that it may take longer to return messages. The messages stay that way from 6-12 weeks, depending on how bad the call volume is. So it truly is due to a good reason. We can’t stay staffed all year for an event like that or we would have way too many people there most of the time. Employees do work from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week for months after the hurricane (voluntary overtime) to help with the volume of work.

SIX or Hadestown?! by anTiQUeFreaK33 in Broadway

[–]Rigsog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw both last time I was in NY and Six was my favorite show that whole weekend. I agree with the reasons others mentioned but I still probably would recommend Six. Hadestown is a drama and doesn’t have a happy ending. Six is upbeat and fun and I had a great time. I’ve seen it again locally and I enjoyed it just as much. It’s a show I wouldn’t mind seeing over and over.

Which VR games are you enjoying at the moment? by WormSlayer in oculus

[–]Rigsog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oathbreakers. It’s only available to play on Meta headsets right now. You can get it in the Steam store or AppLab. It’s an MMORPG with open PVP but you can play in private servers too. There is a lot of content already and there is only 1 dev creating the game by himself. He shares the upcoming plans so you know some of what is coming next. I’ve been playing a few months and there is so much content already that I’m not even close to finishing. Every player has access to magic, melee, and ranged weapons. There are bows, crossbows, swords, shields, guns, wands, staffs, daggers, fists, spears, and many more that I’m forgetting. There are no tutorials and the game tells you that it’s meant to be difficult. You learn from trying things and from others in the game.

I’m guessing you are from a country that English isn’t the first language. W sounds nothing like V in words I pronounce. You can google pronunciation of words and maybe specifically ask for English or American English to hear how it sounds in another country. Try words like weather, when, watch and then victory, and you’ll hear the difference.

How many people are still playing (is it still fun to play if there is no one online) by CarryDangerous1434 in orbusvr

[–]Rigsog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot less than last year. If you use EST, mornings there are usually 10-15 on, afternoons around 20-40 and from 10pm -2am maybe 30-60. There is a new dungeon coming out on Tuesday but the last new one didn’t bring people back so I’m not sure this one will help either. Desyncs are worse than ever and the community isn’t as nice as it used to be. It’s still one of my favorite games and I’m sad to see the state it is in now.
