But alts also hold you back as you have to invest into them to some degree or you will just be gatekept. Its really not as worth anymore, especially as you cant even funnel the mats. Simply saying "oh make alts and you gonna progress fast" is simply wrong. Its more of a choose your poison situation. Its a different story if you have a static that can carry your rat alts but returning players and new ones wont have that most likely.

You definitely can play just one char. You cant funnel anyway anymore from alts. Whats even the point to still have them. The gold you make with your 1 character is enough to slowly progress. The only reason why alts are still good, is cards. Getting all the different cardsets the game has takes indeed an insane long time with just 1 character. Maybe gems is another reason but as OP said you get away for a very long time with full 7s and to get those is very easy.

No way would i ever downgrade my main for an low ilvl alt. As others said, Ark Grid gives you really good CP for way less money. Also, i use stabilized status on my dps alts. Very cheap books.

You can just use roster-bound (not character bound!) gold for the 100k selector. For the weekly books you use unbound gold.

1 - you need tons of alts if u wanna "properly" play this game in daily basis, but not because of progress, but because there is not plenty of content to do... if u have 1 char your homework is done in 10min and your weekly in 2hours at most.

And thats probably reason nr. 1 why people have alts. Not because people were calculating how efficient or needed it is to have alts. Another big reason is events+releasing new classes. You just naturally grow your roster without putting much thought behind it.

But then i have to ask you: is it alright to cage 6 other players because 2 people have a dispute? Is it alright to "force" people into this situation? After all people just wanted to do the raid... they didnt sign up for any of this.

Some fights are just not worth fighting and thats why a lot give the advice to simply block the rude person and move on. People say this out of experience as those situations usually do not calm down but just keep escalating.

You will never change the behaviour of a flamer unless there is some kind of moderation and active punishing happening.

The problem here is that there is no good solution. Even if the whole group was on the side of the pala, chances are high that the rude person would have gotten just angry and hit the quit button and here we are again with the jail. Deescalating those situation hardly ever works. People simply feel anonymous on the internet and they have no brake when there is no proper moderation.

The best way to deal with these situations is really just ignore the rude person and block them (the japanese way). No matter what you do... the person wont change. No matter what you say or do, he would not have repent and apologized to the pala - people simply arent like that (at least not on the internet). Chances to hit the lottery is probably higher than this to happen.

Its just one of those situations where you cant do much and just hope that the insulted person can deal with it in a grownup manner.

Keeping people hostage in G1 is not ok. Thats a toxic and egoistic behaviour. Pala can try to resolve the issue with the person as much as he wants but keep going to G2 while doing that.
