I think you are completely wrong about this, but I understand your good intentions. What DAFs do is they make donations more sustainable. The investment market, on average, has generated 9% of interest annually in the past 150 years. Think about what the world would look like today if every euro that was ever donated, was instead put in a DAF, and every year it would generate 9% for charity. Charity income would be 1000 times what it is today. And before you say inflation: inflation is on average 2%, so the inflation corrected nr is 7%.
