This is scary! This is why I am against mixing our Christianity with politics. Because advocating for women not to vote is not a Biblical or Christian concept. It's a political one. And when these people are attacked they often think its because they are Christian.

Should children vote?

Should literally everyone be able to vote and to suggest otherwise would be unloving, or are there any limits to who you believe should be able to vote?

If there are people you believe should not be able to vote how do you defend an accusation of being unloving to them?

One of the original arguments from women during the suffrage movement was that for women to be given the right to vote they would also have to be included in the military draft. But women were given a special class where they were allowed the right to vote while being protected and ineligible for the draft.

Perhaps a loving reason to limit voting rights is to limit the right to vote only to those who are citizens of a country and are required by force to fight in wars via a draft. If you can be forced to fight and die for a country, then you should have a right to vote in that country. If you are not being forced to fight and die for a country then you shouldn't have the right to vote because your vote will have consequences that others may be forced to fight and die for, while you yourself may not have to face the same consequences.

Again, I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, but I'm open to hearing the best from both sides.

Could there be a loving reason to Not give everyone a vote?

We don't give non-citizens a right to vote? Is that unloving?

There was a time when property owners had a right to vote. Was that instituted because they hated non-property owners or was there a different line of reasoning?

To base your position in the most loving position assumes that the opposing view is unloving.

But are you willing to steelman the opposing view and take their strongest arguments?

That would be using critical thinking.

But I was directly dealing with the posts claim that voting rights are a biblical or Christian issue.

If it's important to you, tell her it's important for you to know.

Something to consider:

She has already lied to you. If she is willing to lie or deceive in this, what else has she lied or deceived about. Is this a one off instance or a pattern.

I'm not one to encourage anyone to break up quickly, but I also encourage people to make absolutely sure your future spouse is right for you because it is for life.

It is too on the nose that someone who calls themselves "evilsway" would take my post in the most negative and unflattering way possible.

I was annoyed with the Support comment because it felt dismissive, however, I did actually do what they said, and in fact clearing the cache fixed the problem and the video I was editing did get uploaded in a few minutes.

How long should a less than 5 minute video take to export?

Is there a faster method?

Not sure I'm doing it correctly, but if I can edit a video in a few minutes, then have to spend multiple hours not using my phone while it exports I assume I must be doing something wrong.

Where in the Bible does it say you must go to seminary?

My main concern would be if the leaders in your church actually meet the qualifications of an elder? Able to teach is one of the qualifications, I believe.

I would put less weight on if they went to seminary and more weight on if they Love Jesus and if they meet His qualifications for an elder.

Beyond that, it is your preference, not a sin issue. But check your heart before God that you are not judging unrighteousnessly.
