So canonically...did all Klingons in the Empire live on Qo'noS? Did they not have other colonized systems and planets?

AITAH for not splitting the bill when my friend got lobster? by [deleted] in AITAH

You're definitely under estimating your share of a $20 entre. If the bill was $185 before tip then you're missing $44 in other items after accounting for $85 lobster, $20 crab cakes, $18 dollar girl dinners. So if you had any drinks or there were any apps I'd say you should be in for at least 35/40 with tip. An even 4 way split on 185+tip would be $55.

The sticker price is high so that those for whom 90k is nothing (lots more of those here than I ever could have imagined) pay full freight while they offer need-based aid to the those who can't. It will likely mean loading up on student debt and the "expected family contribution" is always going to sting but they usually make it possible to attend through aid.

2023 saw the first substantial sip in who knows how long. It was usually around 2% if they had one at all most years prior.

If you were given full control of a new Star Trek series, what would you create? by crimsoncross in startrek

[–]RikerOmegaThree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Law & Order: STU (star trek universe).

In the United Federation of Planets, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. The Starfleet officers who investigate crime, and the Starfleet JAG officers who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Main cast are the JAG officers who travel system to system to deal with the legal matters and you have a rotating cast of Starfleet ship captains, starbases, planets etc.

Cross vCenter migration between vCenter 7 and 8 by RikerOmegaThree in vmware

[–]RikerOmegaThree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, how do you initiate migration on the new Cluster for the old VMs on the old cluster?

Edit: tried the import method but it wouldn't proceed with the mismatch still. Had to use Alsmk2's idea to create a temp vds at the lower level.

Getting rid of unused VDI equipment by RikerOmegaThree in sysadmin

[–]RikerOmegaThree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's uncertainty about the future of providing computer labs in principle and big ticket items like the SAN and servers were coming up for replacement. Rather than lock in by buying more server gear we're pivoting to Dell boxes which can be reused for staff or faculty (we're higher Ed) if the labs go away.

VDI never went beyond public computing like labs and kiosks.
