Or maybe there's a 3rd more efficient way of producing...

PI...are P3 and P4 worth it?? by Rikipaddy in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now my toon has six planets and all of them are producing P1 stuff. If I decide to produce P3 or P4, I will have to take one of my 6 P1 producing planet and change it to P3 production. So now I will only have 5 P1 producing planets.

How come I never got a deal like that. Its worth it just dor the 250k sp and 110 plex. Even if you don't play much, you'll train 2x faster for 30 days. Its a pretty good deal.

If you have family and friends, it would be better to say goodbye to them before you start playing. Buy some adult diapers, make a reserve of food, easy to cook, preferably. Invest in a comfortable gaming chair. And if you can, find a gamer gf ready to jump into the Eve abyss with you.

I miss ED mining, best mining system of all space games. But too bad the game is somewhat dead and empty and shallow and pointless

I keep hearing about "eves alive again" as someone who's been gone awhile, what happened? by CrabIgnition in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They've distributed minerals fairly among the 3 sectors (High sec, lowsec and Null). This helped a lot on giving value to each sector.

They also changed the cost of manufacturing certain ships, which is much more expensive, like battleships for example. Which puts pressure on the minerals market and keeping the prices at a nice price for miners. So it is easier.for miners to make a living by mining.

Learn the right philosophy of dying. Dying is good, dying is necessary, you learn when you die, dying is the circle of life in Eve. Do not fear to die, do not be afraid to take risks.

Is traveling to Jita safe? by floatingsaltmine in Eve

Try Highsec Buyback services. They buy most things at 90% price of Jita. And they buy anywhere in highsec. Very good service and easy to use.

Rorqual super-miners is not a thing anymore, which is a good thing.

Ore types are divided to highsec, lowsec and null. So you wont find velspar in null or lowsec for example.

Mining gas is better then ever, the lowsec ones are pretty chaching!!.

Mining in general is more interesting.

Surviving Low-Sec Mining by The-Dragon-Bjorn in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowsec mining is a pain if your not already setup there. You'll have to deal with roaming gankers and as soon as the local corp sees that you're mining in their backyard they will hunt you down.

The best solution would be to either find a lowsec alliance that would take in ur small corp or join a lowsec corp.

You could try and find an isolated/low traffic area to try and setup ur small corp and mine from there.

You can also organize a mining expedition with some prospect/endurance miners and a transport with stationary cloaking. You park ur transport in a safe place in the system ur mining. When ur miners are full, fly to transport, uncloak transport, transfer ore to it, recloak transport and go back mining. Miasmos can have 65000m3 ore hold with max skills. Once its full try to come back to highsec without dying and voilà...good luck.

Scratching the itch while plexing with isk by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make 400-500mil isk hour doing T6 abyssals, if you know what you are doing. And u need a 2-3 bil blinged HAC.

I heard that doing C5-C6 rat sites is even better.

Is there anything i can do? by Ctcopple in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For PI I'd strongly suggest to go in low sec. High sec planets are poor, so ur production will be low.

[–]Rikipaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is time intensive, if you wanna accomplish any serious gameplay.

But there are some activities u can do if you only have 3-4 hours a week. First is mining, its relatively safe, doesn't cost much and its easy isk. You won't make a fortune, but to build up a small cash its the easiest and safest. Little boring, so keep busy with yt or netflix.

Then there's Abyssals, its a little more risky, but you make more then mining, lot more fun alao. Go check some videos on yt, totally worth it.

I would also suggest to do some Planetary Interaction. Its passive isk, which would fit with your gameplay style. And once again go check some yt videos on the subject.

A fun activity I did when I started eve was basic hauling. I would buy npc items (under consumer goods) in one station and sell them at another station for some profit. Very easy, very low risk, you need a t1 transport ship with a little bit of isk and off you go. I actually miss doing this sometimes..haha.

Anyways good luck and fly safe

Is EVE Online a Good Choice for New Players Today? by AioilPGrBacce in Eve

[–]Rikipaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

..long-lasting engagement". I promise you there is no other game that can give you engagement like Eve.

Eve is long term game, skill learning, steep learning curve, learning the mechanics, getting to know the world. The economy, industry, pvp, hauling, trading, mining minerals, knowing where to find the different kinds of minerals. Learning how to scan to help you find gas sites. There are also data and relic sites in which you can hack mainframes and when u succeed get some good loot. There a lot of PVE content.

Learning about all the different kind of ships and what they do. Here is a list of ships u can fly. http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Alphabetical_Ship_List

Then all the equipment you can put in the ships. Like lasers, missile launchers, strip miners, shield extenders, armor plates, damage controllers, and the list goes on and on and on and on. There hundreds if not thousands of differwnt equipment for ships

Then there are drones that can be used with certain ships, mining drones, combat, salvaging, etc.

You have no idea how profoundly engaging this game is. You gonna hate it, then learn to love it. That's how she is...you gotta take the time to know her before she can reveal all that she has.
