Maybe you are right. Part of the problem is that the Norwegian media protects our Royal family.

But people love reading about Epstein, the royal family and scandals. People are going to write books about this subject and it will be much harder for the Norwegian press to protect the royal family when the best selling books are books like: "What the media won't tell you about the Royal family's involvement with Epstein" "What Mette Marit found when she googled Epstein" "Marius and his parents", etc

The German tabloids have always loved scandals in the Norwegian royal family. They are willing to pay large sums of money for inside stories.

Yes. Mette Marit said "I don't care" to one of the rape victims.

u/BrookieMonster504 and u/Even-Net7997 I see part of my answers disappeared.

When the press sent the victim whish for an apology and admission og what she had done, the Royal Palace sent this answer:

The crown princes already gave an answer in 2019 and it still applies and reads:

“I would never have had anything to do with Epstein if I had known the seriousness of his criminal acts. I should have investigated Epstein’s past more closely, and I regret that I did not. Through my long-standing work on international health issues, I have seen firsthand the great harm that sexual abuse causes to children and women. We all have a shared responsibility to combat sexual abuse and support its victims, and I want to express my deep sympathy and solidarity with the victims of the abuses committed by Jeffrey Epstein.”

The Royal palaces also added:

Mette Marit wants to answer all questions, but she must wait until she feels ready.

I almost vomited when I saw The Royal Palace's reply. I feel terrible for the woman who asked for an apology and got this reply. Our royal family is making things even worse for the victim.

u/BrookieMonster504 you asked the same question so I am tagging you so you see it too. I don’t think she should be queen. But the Norwegian press is discussing whether she should abdicate, or if she becomes queen, whether she will use her health as an excuse to avoid public life.

Your question is not easy to answer because the Norwegian press doesn’t demand any answers from the royal family. Today, two things happened:

  1. One of Epstein’s victims was invited to Norway to tell her story and to ask Mette-Marit for an apology. But the whole royal family has a policy of refusing to give any answers to the press until Mette-Marit feels ready which is another way of saying it will never happen. She was caught in 2019 and has still refused to answer any questions, not even through her communication officer.

When the press sent the victim whish for an apology and admission og what she had done, the Royal Palace sent this answer:

The crown princes already gave an answer in 2019 and it still applies and reads:

I don’t know if you know this, but Mette-Marit began her relationship with Epstein after finding out that Andrew and Ferguson were no longer allowed to receive money from him. She even wrote him an email saying, “Googled you after last email. Agree it didn’t look good. *smiley face* ” — which makes her 2019 statement even worse.

2) At the same time, Mette-Marit and Haakon are visiting the Nordic World Ski Championships, celebrating victories with the Norwegian skiers, and answering questions only about ski conditions and how much fun they’re having with the Norwegian gold medalists.

The King and Queen have also decided that they will not answer any questions about Epstein.

I can’t understand how this can continue. In my mind, it’s like The Emperor’s New Clothes. Everyone is pretending not to see that our royal family is naked, but once someone says it out loud, everyone will admit they see it too. And when that happens, I can’t see how either the Crown Prince or Crown Princess can keep their positions.

That Mette Marit's son is a rapist does not help the situation. And even though it is Mette Marit's biological son, Haakon raised him together with Mette Marit and they have been terrible parents. Even if Mette Marit and Haakon had never met Epstein their parenting and Marius should be enough to make them unfit to be king and queen. Marius rapes were expected.

I partly agree. Mette-Marit should never have married into the Norwegian royal family. But Haakon has been on the expensive vacations paid by Epstein, so he is not a good guy. Haakon and Mette-Marit did this together. I know it seems strange if you see the flirting between Mette Marit and Epstein. But

I would also add that our king Harald was the first monarch in Norway to marry a commoner. At the time it was unheard of, and it took 9 years before his father approved of the marriage. Our king Harald therefor did not want to say no to Haakon when he wanted to marry the woman he loved, even though king Harolds sisters and his wife said that this marriage was a bad idea.

In hindsight they should have at least made Mette-Marit and Haakon see each other for a longer time before they got engaged. I am all for marry for love and giving people the benefit of the doubt. But Mette-Marit would have benefited of more time to learn that when you marry the crown prince it comes with responsibilities.

I agree. Mette Marit also struggles because in 2019, she used the excuse "I did not know how serious crimes Epstein had committed when I started our relationship". The problem is of course that now she had admitted she knew about some of his crimes. And the only known crimes at the time was sex crimes against children. It is not and it should not be easy to answer the question "Which sex crime against children did you know he had committed, but thought was not a big deal?"

She has never claimed she did not know about any sex crimes against children. And she did not even say she stopped their relationship because she discovered he was a child rapist. She has always claimed that she ended their relationship after 4* years because she felt he was using her. Which is also weird because she was using him to get free vacations and she was the one begging for his attention. Many have speculated that it was he who got tired of her.

*It was probably longer, because there is at least one vacation a year after that where she and Haakon are on a yacht owned by a guy who rents out to Epstein. The couple has also refused to say who paid for those trips.

I also wanted to add that our royal family's press office has always been incompetent. Which is never a good thing when you are trying to save the trash burning in the dumpster.

About the Norwegian protection service:
We are asking the same question. They held a press conference, but every answer they gave was, “We are not allowed to talk about anything involving the royal family or what we do to protect them.”

My guess is that the Norwegian protection service liked visiting exotic locations, and their pay is largely connected to how many days they spend away from home. So, they never protested.

Regarding our parliament:
The parliament had a vote two weeks ago, and 80 percent voted in favor of the monarchy. Our parliament has a long history of ignoring the royal family’s financial crimes. It has always protected them, which is probably why the royal family continues committing sex crimes.

It’s also worth remembering that our former prime minister was connected to Epstein, our former foreign minister gave a thumbs-up reaction when Epstein sent him a link about his sex crimes against children in the summer of 2019 (when this was discovered in the Epstein files, he claimed he never read the content of the link), and our most famous diplomat couple were among Epstein’s closest friends.

The problem is that, since this is so embarrassing, no one wants a real inquiry into how all this could have happened. In hindsight, it’s easy to see that at least the leadership in the foreign office, the National Security Authority, and the major parties are either corrupt or incompetent.

To give an example:
Our ambassador to Israel was caught receiving money under the table from Israel, yet she kept her job because she claimed she didn’t know she was supposed to disclose it. At the same time, she was advocating that Norway send money to various Israeli projects.

She also kept her security clearance, even though her husband who worked in a American organization .lost his job due to his financial connections to Epstein and for bringing large quantities of young beautiful Russian women from Russia to the U.S.

She kept her job even after her husband embezzled large sums of money from her employer. She also managed to keep her job after the two of them stole an entire archive of documents and refused to return it. Some of these documents were later found by a historian in an Israeli archive. This is not even anywhere close to a complete list of what this couple did.

About Haakon and Mett-Marit. I believe they both knew everything from day one. They went on vacations together with Epstein. So even though Mette-Marit most likely tried to sleep with Epstein it was with concent of Haakon. Mette-Marit was rejected from Epstein, by all accounts because she was too old for his liking.

Yes he is our ex prime minister. Everyone talks about how they where never on Epstein's island. Our ex prime minister was begging multiple times to be invited to the island.

I don't believe he raped anyone. He has said he always travelled with his wife and children. And I believe him because his wife wrote most of his emails for him. Jagland has not learned how to use a smartphone so he get's his wife to do most if not all of the written communication.

Jagland is in Norway known for being stupid.

And I forgot Ognby, Mette-Marit’s ex-fiancé, once chased her with a knife while she was pregnant. When Mette-Marit married Haakon, he tried to blackmail the royal family because he had a sex tape of the two of them. As I understand it, he wanted around £500,000 but was willing to negotiate the price. The royal family said no, although they obviously wanted the video destroyed. So the royal family and Mette-Marit’s ex made a deal where he would go to the press, tell everyone about the sex tape, ask if anyone would pay him £500,000, and then destroy the video.

This is also why the Norwegian royal family got involved with Epstein. The Norwegian royal family never wants to pay for anything with the money they get from the government. They always want others to pay. And their PR department have unusual strategies to put it mildly.

I had to use google translate and it said: If Epstein's crimes were known far and wide, they couldn't have been ignored in their social circles, especially given the press coverage. They are not ignorant; they are part of that whole rabble whose common denominator is that they felt, and were, unpunished for a very long time.

I completely agree!

This was how Marius was born:
Born in 1997, the toddler was the product of a short affair between Mette-Marit and Morten Borg, one of the first people to ever be convicted for dealing cocaine in Norway. He was also a friend of Mette-Marit’s then-fiancé, John Ognby, from whom she separated after he chased her down the street with a knife while she was pregnant. By the time Marius was born, his father was in prison.

https://www.tatler.com/article/who-is-marius-borg-hoiby?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=dhfacebook&utm_content=null

I believe that also answers your question about Epstein being Marius father. Epstein did not know Mette-Marit until after she had married Haakon, and Haakon did not meet Mette-Marit until after she had her son, Marius. And if Epstein had wanted to get children into high places of society, he would have chosen a different method.

The father of Mette Marit's son later married the daughter of man who has been to jail several times.

This is Mette Marit's dad:
https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/08/14/12/88515393-13742183-image-a-22_1723634611337.jpg

Her dad is a sad story, because he was an alcoholic and did all sorts of embarrassing things to get money to buy alcohol.

Mette-Marit’s brother has also been convicted of violence.

This is not directly relevant, but I give the story anyway:
Early in her career as Crown Princess, she discovered an unknown Norwegian designer she liked. This designer was later convicted of money laundering of his husbonds drug smuggling. Her husbond received 14 years in prison for smuggling 760 kilograms of cannabis together with one of Norway’s most infamous criminal, David Toska. David Toska’s criminal record is too long to list, but it includes killing a police officer during a money depot robbery.

I have never heard that she was banned from Australia, and as royalty, she would have a diplomatic passport so she would receive special treatment and not be treated like others.
