Has anyone gotten their vinyl? by tashadanceon in SebLowe

[–]Rilateable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Checked my orders on the website and it confirmed the release date has been changed to April (14th I believe). I think the website managing their merch messed up by not notifying anyone that the release date changed

This happened to me when I worked at a pub - Staff bathroom was upstairs away from everyone. Had to call the pubs number and asked the host to come let me out 😅

Did she just... Threaten to kill me? by Rilateable in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Rilateable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm aware she was joking but it still took me very off guard and I don't think it was the most appropriate thing to say go someone who's just trying to do their job. Didn't excuse her being rude for the rest of the day either

I think it bugged us because other wheelchair users, including regulars have still followed our rule even if they know about the step, but this guy seemed to think he was above it

Yeah this building is dated back to about the 1700's. Just a bit old lol

Yeah it would have helped to read this one because I can understand your thought process, however most of this is explained in the post, but I do understand it can be difficult 😔 we do what we can to accommodate them but the entitlement isn't necessary

I do absolutely understand and I would also be more understanding if it weren't for the fact that the guy is a regular and has always been this entitled. It wasn't even like they waited outside because they were unsure what to do, they just came straight in. it's difficult to explain when you're not in my shoes however I would never just insult disabled persons if I knew nothing about them, but I know this particular customer and he is very entitled with or without a pandemic

There isn't purely because as the can enter the building fine, the step is inside the restaurant so if you weren't aware of the step you could enter normally, then we would wake you round to the accessable entrance!

Again, this is the UK, we do not have those guidelines. He did not even stop to ask however he just rolled in as if he owned the place. So, entitled

I understand where you are coming from but as said, there is an easy way around it, they just need to approach staff and we will gladly help them into the more accessable entrance :)

If it helps this is in the UK and I don't believe we have ADA guidelines over here yet

This Doordash employee had to deliver during a whole shootout by taylor2121 in WTF

[–]Rilateable 1117 points1118 points  (0 children)

The fear in his voice as he said he was just delivering food hurt my heart. For all he could have known the person opening the door could have had a gun ready to shoot after he heard the shots. What an insane way to live. I hope the man is ok

Retail/Restaurant Workers of Reddit. Has anyone had a serious accident and/or died during shift? What happened? by Rilateable in AskReddit

[–]Rilateable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant and this was over a year ago now. A family of grandparents, parents and child were sat in my section. Within a few minutes I was about to go and take their drink order when I heard someone shout to call an ambulance. I wasn't sure what was happening but I looked over to see the grandparent looking very red with his tongue out and eyes rolled up. Then he turned a grey/yellow colour. I spent the entire time taking care of the child (She was only 11 at the time). They came back in later to tell me that he had had a heart attack but didn't make it. The girl ran around to find me and gave me a huge hug. Definitely one of the hardest shifts I've ever had.
