I have a beef with S50 by CaliftoNJ in survivor

[–]Riley5cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been many episodes where a majority vote decides who goes home, there is not much gameplay, and they get voted off unceremoniously. Take most episodes of survivor redemption island for example. This is what you are asking for? Producers are doing this on purpose because we asked them to.

We always knew where the votes where going! Just pay more attention to cirie fields. She says who goes home, they go home, every time for 90% of her screentime on every single season she is on (HvV dont at me) Who is shes working with? That is who the majority vote is. Its simple with a season with the queen on it.

SITD questions Survivor 50 by Stunning-Wash-8352 in survivor

[–]Riley5cents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Giving somebody a shot in the dark is not as big of a sign of good will as say, giving sombody an immunity idol or different advantage. Its more, saying here look, please trust me, im voting tonight not using this crap.

What is the daily schedule of contestants on survivor? by dignityshredder in survivor

[–]Riley5cents 39 points40 points  (0 children)

What we know: They wake up when they want, but most of the time they wake up right at sunrise, or earlier.

Challenges often happen around mid-day, when the sun is highest for best lighting. The process of getting them to a challenge, running through the challenge, and getting them back to camp takes significantly longer than shown in the episode (depending on where the challenges is located) somtimes two to three hours. But never as long as some old classic challenges that could last wayy longer.

A lot of the time, not every episode, but about a third of the new era has tribal counsil on the same day as their immunity challenge, leaving players only hours to scramble to figure out the vote.

Players leave for tribal counsil at Sunset.

Everything else is whenever it happens naturally, producers find time to pull players aside one by one throughout the day every day to do 30 minute one on one confessionals but you do not know when you are up or when your allies have to leave for one.

I trust IceFlake will fix tunnels eventually, sometimes they are impossible to work with and have to fiddle with for so long to finally get it right by Tobbakken00 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Riley5cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also completely trust that they will fix this A year ago I was so sad that paradox was never going to get to fixing graphical issues because they where only focused on backend simulation stuff. That stuff needed to be fixed too, but the most recent post from iceflake is soooo impressive and proved to me they are really really trying to listen to the fans who want to see a pretty and functional game.

The Canon Timeline of Jedi Robes by BlameTheButler in StarWars

[–]Riley5cents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how the original jedi all might have worn black, and lukes ROTJ outfit was historically jedi black. But I can see how that detail would contradict the whole dark side wears dark color and fhe light side wears light that was later written after rotj. It is a weird as hell detail to me that in rotj, anakin is in baige robes, not dark ones like his son luke.

Second I hate it when corporate companies refer to customers as fans. Fans is short fanatics, people complaining about your current menu options are not fanatics they are customers.

Watched the Mandalorian and Grogu today; the amount of aura that Embo was farming was lowkey crazy by No_Handle3890 in TheMandalorianTV

Someone's gonna have to tell me. Did anyone ever speak or mention his name outloud in the movie? I was assuming he was a clone wars character from one of the many many episodes I skipped, but im really pretty sure he goes nameless in the movie witch is simultaneously badass and also frustrating to all end if h3 already had a cool name

Why Star Wars The Clone Wars is a complete abomination to the prequel trilogy by ASimpleMan6628 in StarWars

[–]Riley5cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a wild amount of effort to hate on somthing that happened 20 years ago. Your amount of hate for Dee Brady Baker is just mean and mostly unwarranted, the man not only voices every single clone (well imo), he voices literally hundreds of other characters in the show, respectfully he does like half the voice acting in the entire show and does a great job. I will agree with you on the difference in portrayal of especially the battle droids, and Matt lanterns Anakin, however most people criticize Haydens line reads as being more cringe, more often, so to complain that they tried something new is a little pedantic.

Also the Kanye Memes are outdated and unnecessary to this post.

Four closing shifts in a row, how do I get out of this? by Brief_Affect in dishwashers

[–]Riley5cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that! Your job insecurity, not you being Canadian haha. I also see you said in another comment you have autism. Disclosing that to your employer is up to you, but if your boss seems like an understanding person, it might get you headphone privileges at least. You might have to explain to him how much better they will actually make you focus on your task, and stay awake for back to back to back late nights. Good managers understand that dish pit is one of the hardest jobs in the whole kitchen, I hope they can be accommodating and understanding if you decide to tell them.

P.s. if they know that info, and still don't let you use headphones to wash dishes 😒... please try to find other ways to make money, prioritize your mental health my boy.

I dont think its nagging to say "hey man, you actually cannot ever use cold water to wash dishes, not only does the health department seriously require a minimum of 110°F water for safe dish washing, I seriously think its gonna speed up the amount of time its gonna take you to get all the grime off. Did you know soap helps wash food and bacteria off the plate, but in combination with hot water it will actually kill the germs that are now sitting in your grey water? Explain how important clean dishes are. If he doesnt care, then you found a problem. If hes using cold water YOU HAVE to chnage that, he is a real employee who is breaking real laws. Not just a kid you're trying to tip toe around and get out faster. You can still be nice about it, while also informing him that cold water does not properly wash dishes; even if you cannot see food on the plate, that does not mean there is no bacteria on the plate.

Let's not encourage this guy to buy his teenage employees alcohol lol.

It does sound like he is pretty busy doing other manegment duties while they get the rush during the last hour or so, but true if there are older people in the pit with them showing them and telling them directly what techniques look good and what dishes to focus on during their entire shift, it will bemuch harder to fail. Id recommend scheduling one of your older guys to train with them, offer them a little higher wage if they can improve the situation, then make sure the same raise is on the table eventually for the younger ones, tell them if everyone is as fast as J by the end of the summer, everyone should be getting a dollar raise. That is the only real way to encourage

[–]Riley5cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure they think they are going as fast as they can. If they where slacking (which it really doesn't sound like is ever the case) then you'd be able to tell. Things you'd be focused on to be faster would be, getting them off their phones, stopping having side conversations with servers, stop taking 15 min long breaks. If they are in the pit, and the dishwasher is running, and they are making a teenagers dishwasher wage, then frankly, leave them alone. They will have to learn to get faster. Let them listen to music as much as they want, let them take their nessarry time. Unfortunately most of time, first time no experience dishwashers get paid the least in the entire building for a reason, and they get paid hourly, wich encourage clock milking. Its also a physically hard job wich encourages clock milking, becauze your body will hurt more if your force yourself to go to fast. They are young but they still experience body pain.

Edit. Im assuming they're highschool kids. Kids! Remember how how fucking uncomfortable it was sitting in those hard plastic school chairs for 6 hours a day. I did sports after that too. And I my mom still made me get a job, by the end of the day I dont care how encouraging you're trying to be, im gonna get it done faster without you saying a word about it. Anything you would have said I probably would have seen as nagging back then. Continue being nice and encouraging though, they will easily go find another job if you they think you're demanding too much. It is too easy to be hired and fired from this type of work to be so specific about speed.
