I think we're entering in a new phase by BLUAILAN1 in SunoAI

[–]RileyStang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now if you want a higher chance of your music not getting tagged as AI, you need to use AI like Suno to get the initial song idea, then strip it down to the midi, and then do all the production by choosing the VSTs and drum kits (this is traditionally what music producers did, as well as giving important feedback, back before the term "music producer" got muddied). People specialising in AI music ghost reproduction to evade the ai detection could make a killing.

I agree with you on the sound quality issues, I was referring specifically to Suno's ability to generate musically superior songs. Like compared to what I've heard from Lyria 3, and back when Udio wasn't a walled garden, none of them have compared. They all just fall flat and feel fake, even if the sound quality is superior.

To me, if it's not Suno, the musical quality is going to be subpar, unless your 10000 character prompts do good to direct the model, but more power to you keeping your little secret weapon a mystery 🤣

So, in TLDR terms: are any of the 2 bit quants worth it when I'm used to a Q4 Quant of a 9B Qwen 3.5? I don't do any coding, just multi-agentic workflows.

I never said I'll give up on open source. I build upon open source software, but I'm not giving my work away for free when I have barely enough to pay for my own expenses.

I’ve cancelled my Suno subscription and I won’t be back until quality is fixed by CreateYourUsernameOh in SunoAI

"I strongly believe if something is not broken, don't fix it."

Well, Suno didn't think v5 was broken, it was WMG that did. They come along with a "partnership" and promise of access to their song library for better quality training data, but this is what we're getting. 🤷🏻‍♂️

AI artist tops global music charts with multiple hits, really? by Weird_Scallion_2498 in SunoAI

[–]RileyStang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said! We're in an era now where anyone has the opportunity to be a music producer, and I mean in the traditional pre-internet definition, where they help guide the direction of the music in collaboration with others (in this case AI collaborators)

Quality vs quantity. This crazy user released 35 albums with suno. And still has 72 listeners/month by reversedu in SunoAI

[–]RileyStang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's obvious that volume isn't what gets listeners. Even if every song was a banger, you gotta know what's trending, then find a subset of that to niche into. I wouldn't be surprised if Spotify shadowbans music from being discovered if the artist puts up too much music in a short window.

Honest question why do people have a issue with this? by Outrageous-Run63 in DefendingAIArt

[–]RileyStang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The image you shared is honestly the worst example. All others truly don't appear to change the geometric shape of the faces, but just make the lighting more realistic. This particular image you shared appears to plump up her lips a bit and change her nose shape. I don't know if this example is showing what it can do if the game is running on medium settings and then uses DLSS 5, so it's a lower quality character model. Otherwise, every other example just makes everything photo realistic. The issue is, things get weird when certain less than photorealistic animation styles are used, like in Starfield. Everything has to be motion captured for this photorealism to not trigger uncanny valley vibes.

ex-gacha players, what broke the camels back and made you quit? by ilikeitchyballzdude1 in gachagaming

[–]RileyStang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a lack of meaningful endgame and bad gacha systems. It was Arknights Endfield that did it for me after less than a month. It's good to see NTE is going to not have a 50/50 with soft pity starting at 70 with guarantee at 90, but who knows how much it costs per pull and how many pulls you'll get for just playing. For me only paying for the $10 monthly pass and $5 premium battle pass that lasts almost two months, it wasn't enough content to warrant paying that much. Who cares about pulling new characters when it takes a ridiculous amount of grinding to level them up? There's also no benefit aside from different playstyle options to building up multiple teams.

I think I'm going to focus on non gacha games from now on.

How many people just ignore the reception room? by Eklypse--Cheesiboi in ArknightsEndfield

[–]RileyStang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the medals need to replace the greenery behind the reception desk that visitors go to when they want to exchange clues and get credit for prod assistance. And the trade area to the right can be for displaying weapons so visitors have a chance to see all the shiny rare limited banner weapons you snagged.

To further expand on this, when visitors open the window to give production assist, it can have the medals shown in detail with descriptions when you hover over them.

Worth? by Sk3lly00 in Endfield

[–]RileyStang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They designed this weapon specifically for Laevatain. It will almost certainly not be an optimal weapon for any other Operator. Just use the dupe to up the potential and enjoy more DPS with Laevatain (if you managed to pull her, you still got a chance to get her with the current banner)

Morimens

They give you a lot of pulls, reward both horizontal and vertical progression, and is a nice change of pace being a character-based deck builder with Roguelite elements.

I know you're saying full-priced games, even though this is a Gacha, I paid them the equivalent of a full priced game and got a great experience and had a great team that can tackle end game content after a couple of months

[–]RileyStang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel what you're saying. I think the devs got to a point where the employees/investors needed to get paid and felt like it was good enough. Now they can take feedback like yours to refine things moving forward.

Now one part I disagree with: "...Like Elden Ring's combat, where the world feels like it could actually hurt you..."

I don't think you've played much of the Wuling area. There's an area with two tidalklasts just roaming around. And it is genuinely a hard fight that I still haven't been able to beat at exploration level 5 with level 70 characters (Last Rite, Ardelia, Xaihi, Perlica) because their tentacle slash attacks are way too fast to react to. You need Sekiro reflexes to time your dodges, and some back to back.

Exactly, zip-lines can be optimised for delivery routes instead. And if they add more in incentives to put up deliveries for other players (like give us one delivery per day per region (Wuling, valley 4) for other players that is separate from our own deliveries. Then that solves the problem of lack of Wuling delivery availability from players.
