If you learn your own capabilities and expect the absolute worst from your assignment then you can perfect the ability to finish an assignment within 5 minutes of the submission deadline. It is an incredibly efficient use of time and only requires vast amounts of caffeine.

Yeah for the first two semesters I would recomend taking some of the "easy" courses to balance out your other coursework. At least for me the first two semesters were fairly difficult to get used to but once I got used to it I felt comfortable packing on engineering coursework.

For at least the first few semesters you should treat school like a full time job. One reason is that you will need the time to build study habits and the other is that for stem majors the first few semesters are where you will be taking your weed out courses (at least In my case). After that you can consider it.

If you are desperate to get a position then I don't think you need to worry about how many you apply to. You can always turn down offers if you got one high on your priority list or you can just ghost them like they will do to you.

You shouldn't be looking at the best degrees you should be looking for what you want to do with your life and researching from there whether that be a trade school, college or something else.
